Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra has emerged as a major success at the box office. Director Dominic Arun, lead actors Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen, producer Dulquer Salmaan, and the entire team are elated with the audience response and the impressive collections.
The film is fast approaching a ₹200 crore global gross, fueled by its strong performance in Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil markets. However, its Hindi release, which premiered on September 4, 2025, has yet to make a significant impact.
Despite praise from Bollywood stars like Alia Bhatt, Tripti Dimri, Priyanka Chopra, and Samantha for its female superhero narrative, the Hindi version has underperformed. In its first five days, it collected less than ₹2 crore, a stark contrast to its South Indian success.
The lukewarm reception in North India is attributed to stiff competition from films like Baaghi 4 and Param Sundari. How much the Hindi release will contribute to the film’s overall box office remains uncertain.
