Lokesh Questions Father Naidu’s Arrest: “What Did My Father Do to Be in Jail?”:
Nara Lokesh, the national general secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), questioned the reasons behind his father and former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s imprisonment. Lokesh raised concerns about whether Naidu was incarcerated for his role in developing Amaravati, achieving significant progress on the Polavaram project, attracting Kia Motors, which generated employment for 25,000 people, and various other initiatives.
Following a visit to his father, along with Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan and TDP MLA N. Balakrishna at the Central Prison, Leader announced their intention to unite against the YSR Congress government and jointly contest the 2024 elections.
Balakrishna asserted that Naidu had been arrested and jailed despite having no involvement in the skill development file. He further alleged that powerful mafias, including those involved in land, liquor, and sand, were exerting undue influence in Andhra Pradesh.
