Following the massive success of Lucky Bhaskar, director Venky Atluri has officially confirmed that a sequel to the hit film is in the works. Starring Dulquer Salmaan and Meenakshi Chaudhary, the film was released on October 31, 2024, and became the highest-grossing film of Dulquer’s career, receiving both critical acclaim and audience love.

Produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, with music composed by GV Prakash, Lucky Bhaskar was a Diwali blockbuster that surprised many by becoming a Pan-India hit.

Venky Atluri Confirms Lucky Bhaskar Sequel

In a recent interview, director Venky Atluri addressed the swirling rumors about a sequel. He confirmed:

“Yes, I am determined to make a sequel to Lucky Bhaskar. The audience is asking for it, and I want to do justice to that demand.”

However, Venky added that the sequel will take some time to materialize. He also made it clear that he isn’t interested in doing biopics, thrillers, or period dramas at this point. Instead, he wants to focus on family-friendly films that appeal to a wide audience.

Venky Atluri’s Next Film with Suriya

Before the Lucky Bhaskar sequel begins, Venky Atluri is currently busy with his next directorial featuring Tamil superstar Suriya. More details on this upcoming project are expected soon.
