Mahanati movie release postponed!

Legendary actress Savithri mesmerized film audience, irrespective of language and region, with her beauty, charm, and acting. The actress is regarding one of the most beautiful women in the history of Indian cinema. ‘Mahanati’ is an official biopic of the legendary actress, Savithri garu. While Nag Ashwin is directing, Ashwini Dutt is producing the film. The film stars, Keerthi Suresh as Savithri, Dulquer Salmaan as Gemini Ganesan, Samantha as Jamuna, and other famous actors. Mahanati was slated to release on March 29th, 2018.
Meanwhile, Ram Charan and Samantha starrer ‘Rangasthalam’ will be releasing on March 30th, 2018. Sukumar who is famous for his brilliant screenplay is directing the film. It is rumored that Rs. 100 crores are on stakes in the case of Rangasthalam. Given the high stakes, and mass following Ram Charan has, Mahanati team decided to postpone the film. Moreover, Kalyan Ram’s MLA is also releasing on March 28th, 2018.
Initially, Ashwini Dutt wanted to postpone the film to April. But given other big-ticket releases in the month, Mahanati is likely to release in May. In fact, it might even release in June. It looks like Ashwini Dutt is not willing to put Mahanati at risk, but competing with other films.
