Mahavatar Narsimha Crosses ₹100 Cr in India; OTT Release Plans in Motion
The mythological animated blockbuster Mahavatar Narsimha, backed by Hombale Films, is creating waves at the Indian box office, having surpassed the ₹100 crore gross mark—a historic milestone for Indian animation.
Directed by Ashwin Kumar, the film blends mythology with high-octane animated action and has become a surprise hit, outperforming many live-action releases currently in theatres.
According to recent media reports, the Hindi version of Mahavatar Narsimha is likely to make its digital debut on Jio Hotstar. However, the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions may stream on different OTT platforms, based on regional rights and distribution partnerships.
While there has been no official confirmation yet, these developments are already going viral across entertainment news portals and social media.
The film is expected to follow the standard 8-week theatrical window mandated by the Multiplex Association of India, meaning the OTT premiere of the Hindi version may not happen until the third week of September 2025.
Whether all language versions will drop simultaneously or have staggered releases remains to be seen.
