The mythological animated epic Mahavatar Narsimha, which debuted on July 25, 2025, has begun its theatrical journey with roaring success. Part of the ambitious Mahavatar Cinematic Universe (MCU), the film has been released in multiple languages across India and is already gaining strong traction, especially in the Telugu states.
Directed by Ashwin Kumar and released in Telugu by Geetha Arts, the film has struck an emotional and visual chord with audiences. In an exciting update, the Telugu version witnessed a 2.5x jump in collections on day 2 compared to its opening day, driven by glowing word of mouth and growing family footfalls.
Although the makers have not yet released the exact figures, early estimates suggest that Sunday collections are set to break previous records among animated and mythological genre releases. The Telugu version has emerged as the top performer across new releases in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
