Mahesh Babu & Rajamouli Set to Begin Kenya Schedule for SSMB29 This July!
After several delays, Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli are finally gearing up to fly to Kenya for the highly anticipated next schedule of their mega-project, tentatively titled SSMB29. Originally planned for March 2025, the international leg of filming was pushed back due to extreme weather conditions, but now, it’s all systems go!
The team is now preparing for a major outdoor shoot in July 2025, which will be set against the stunning and rugged landscapes of Kenya’s national parks and forests. These exotic backdrops are expected to play a crucial role in the film’s high-octane action sequences and emotionally charged scenes, as the film is billed as a globe-trotting adventure drama.
Director Rajamouli, known for his attention to visual spectacle and cinematic grandeur, personally oversaw the location scouting across Africa, finalizing Kenya as the ideal setting for this adventurous storyline.
Before this, the team completed portions of the film in Hyderabad and Koraput (Odisha), blending set-based filming with scenic natural locations. With Kenya offering a wild, raw aesthetic, the next phase is expected to add a powerful visual layer to the film.
