Triple Talaq on phone | Man divorces his wife after 25 days of marriage.

Even after the Supreme Court of India has banned the medieval practice of instant ‘Triple Talaq’, a woman from Hyderabad was given divorce by her husband over the phone.
According to the reports, a woman was divorced by her husband over the phone after the latter called for ‘Triple Talaq’. The woman stated that she even heard her mother-in-law speaking to her husband while he was divorcing her.
‘He called me on 13th November and gave ‘Talaq’ over the phone. When I said that I would be coming to his place right now, he cut the call and left the place. After 2-3 hours I again got a call from him. He said he is not willing to stay with me and said ‘Talaq, Talaq, Talaq’ over the phone. I got married to him on 18th October 2017. I am sure his mother is also with him at during that time’, said the victim.
She also added that ‘He told he married another woman and is currently living with her. My family has paid nearly 2 Lakhs rupees to his family at the time of the marriage.’
Interestingly, the accused man has defended his actions of abandoning his wife and marrying another woman.
