Former Karnataka Chief Minister’s son-in-law, VG Siddhartha, who disappeared on Monday night, has committed suicide. According to TV reports, Siddartha asked the driver to head towards Nethravati bridge committed suicide by jumping off the bridge.
Siddhartha’s body was found in the Netravathi river on Wednesday morning after a local fisherman informed to police.
He was last seen at Nethravati bridge 350 Km from Bangalore and close to the Arabian sea.
Siddhartha left home after writing a letter stating that he was in serious trouble in business transactions, investors and income tax authorities were not pressurized.
Police and swimmers sough around the Netravathi river for about 30 hours in search of Siddhartha’s body.
He found dead in the Netravati River in Hoige Bazar area, police said. Siddhartha’s body had already decomposed, police said. He was taken to Wenlock Government Hospital for postmortem.
