Maryam Nawaz, addressing a gathering of party supporters
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz, addressing a gathering of party supporters, declared that Imran Khan’s reign as the Prime Minister of Pakistan was coming to an end. She highlighted the recent departures of senior leaders from Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party following the May 9 riots. Maryam criticized the PTI’s slogan of “Tabdeli” (change), stating that this change would be doomed to failure.
Accusing Imran Khan of orchestrating the May 9 riots, which involved attacks on military and private properties, Nawaz expressed confidence that the people would hold Khan and the supportive judges, including Chief Justice Umer Ata Bandial, accountable for their involvement in these unlawful activities.

Maryam criticized the PTI workers and leaders, contrasting their alleged lack of resilience with the unwavering determination of her father, Nawaz Sharif, and his party. She claimed that those who attempted to undermine Nawaz Sharif had ultimately suffered defeat themselves.
Furthermore, Nawaz asserted that no external enemy would dare to commit the acts that Imran Khan and his followers allegedly perpetrated. She pointed out that immediately after Imran’s arrest, planned protests erupted across the country, specifically targeting military installations. Nawaz questioned why these protesters did not direct their actions towards other symbolic locations, such as the Mall of Lahore or the residence of the corps commander, and instead attacked military institutions like GHQ and FC.
Maryam concluded by highlighting the attacks on a plane in Mianwali, emphasizing that these actions were directed against the Pakistan Army.
