Journey of Devotion: Massive Crowd at Ayodhya Ram Mandir

A massive crowd flocked to the main entrance of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Tuesday, eager to witness the grand temple after its consecration ceremony. Ram Path, the primary thoroughfare, faced severe congestion as devotees flooded the streets, displaying an overwhelming religious fervor. Approximately two lakh people had visited the temple by afternoon, and it was estimated that about five lakh devotees would have visited by the day’s end.

Devotees, some of whom had been camping in Ayodhya since before the consecration ceremony, endured serpentine queues outside the temple. Despite making long and arduous journeys to reach Ayodhya, they were determined to have darshan of the newly consecrated Ram Lalla. The atmosphere was filled with the continuous chanting of “Jai Shri Ram,” and security personnel were on high alert to manage the swelling crowd.

At one point in the afternoon, the crowd grew so large that security personnel had to scramble to maintain order. The commotion led to a devotee fainting, requiring medical attention. Despite the challenges, the devotion and excitement among the devotees were palpable.

Groups of people, some carrying suitcases and backpacks, were seen waiting outside the main gates, eager to enter the premises. Flags bearing images of Lord Ram fluttered in the air as chants of “Jai Shri Ram” resonated through the streets. The overwhelming crowd, filled with devotees from various parts of the country, portrayed the deep connection people felt with the historic moment of the temple’s inauguration.

The consecration ceremony on Monday, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marked a significant milestone in the construction of the grand Ram temple. Devotees, filled with joy and satisfaction, expressed their delight at witnessing the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.
