Media Correspondent cheats pilgrims in Tirupathi

A media person for a news channel cheated and took Rs. 21,000 for darshan and gave them Rs. 300 special entry darshan tickets. TTD vigilance filed a report on a media personnel at two- town police station in Tirumala on Saturday. On receiving a complaint from a pilgrim, Mr. Satish a few days ago, that he was cheated in Tirumala, TTD vigilance made an inquiry and found out that Gopi, a media correspondent for news channel cheated them and took an amount of Rs. 21,000 for Swamy darshan and gave them Rs. 300 special entry darshan tickets.
He did not stop his cheating at it, he also collected more than Rs.20, 000 for a room in Sannidhanam guest house, which has an actual tariff of Rs.7, 100. The vigilance wing officials told, a report was filed in Tirumala two town police station along with the evidence like CCTV footages, verification of bank accounts etc.
The cheater, a media guy also gained by Rs.14,000 earlier by collecting Rs. 1,000 from each pilgrim in the name of tickets at Tirumala Bus Stand. The vigilance officials informed that a criminal action will be taken against him by the Police.
