Arriving in Patna for an opposition conference is Mehbooba Mufti

Prior to the opposition meeting, Mehbooba Mufti, the PDP chief and former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, arrived in Patna on Thursday. She was the first opposition leader to reach the state capital for the meeting. Mehbooba Mufti arrived at the Patna airport at around 11 a.m. and headed to the state guest house near Raj Bhawan. Later in the day, she had scheduled meetings with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RLD Chief Lalu Prasad.

Several other prominent leaders are also expected to arrive on the same day. These include West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her nephew Abhishek Banerjee, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM Bhagwant Maan, Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, CPI leader D. Raja, CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury, CPI(ML) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, and others. They will be staying at the state guest house, which is located adjacent to the chief minister’s residence and Raj Bhawan.

Notable leaders such as Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, and more are expected to arrive on Friday morning. The meeting itself is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. on Friday at Nek Samwad house, located within the chief minister’s residence in Patna. It is slated to continue until 4 p.m., with a lunch break included. The guests will be treated to various cuisines, including Bihari and representatives of their respective states.
