Former Australia and Chennai Super Kings batsman Michael Hussey said that he feels MS Dhoni is still fit to play international cricket but CSK skipper is the best person to answer the speculations regarding his future.
The postponement of this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) has cast new shadows of the international career of former Indian cricket team skipper MS Dhoni.
Hussey would have been in the CSK camp as its batting coach had it not been for the postponement of the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Of course he is still fit to play international cricket. But Dhoni is the best person to answer what is in his mind,” Hussey said during a live session with CSK’s Instagram page on Thursday.
CSK batting coach Hussey also revealed MS Dhoni and Murali Vijay are the two batsmen that he always likes to bat with while praising former India skipper’s ability to muscle the ball at any point of the innings.
“MS is always very calculative. I would want to finish the match as early as possible but MS would say no because there is this bowler who is coming up to bowl or someone else that we need to see out,” he said.
“Don’t think I’ve met anyone like MS in that respect. Yes he has got a calculating brain but he has also got that unbelievable power. He knows when he wants to hit a six he can, which is something I didn’t have,’ he said.
