Student from IIT Hyderabad who went missing has been discovered dead
Last week, a 21-year-old student named Karthik, who was studying Mechanical Engineering in the second year at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad, was reported missing. On Tuesday, his lifeless body was discovered on a beach, and authorities suspect that he died by suicide.
After receiving the news from IIT Hyderabad, Karthik’s parents rushed to the campus on July 19 and filed a complaint with the Sangareddy rural police. Despite their efforts and the police’s search in various places, Karthik remained untraceable. However, during the investigation, the police managed to track his mobile phone signal to Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
A team of policemen, accompanied by Karthik’s parents, traveled to Visakhapatnam, where they eventually found him. The student originally hailed from Miryalguda in Nalgonda district. The police have now shifted his body to King George Hospital for an autopsy as they continue their investigation into the unfortunate incident.
