On the Eve of Mahatma Gandhi’s Birth Anniversary Chief Minister Narendra Modi paid floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat on Tuesday to mark his 149th birth commemoration. UN Chief, Antonio Guterres who landed in Delhi on Monday evening likewise denoted the event.PM Modi will offer floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat and furthermore visit Vijay Ghat to pay tributes to Former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, whose birth commemoration also falls on October 2, the announcement said.
The day will mark the launch of the 150th commemoration festivities of the Mahatma.
