Tubelight! Akshay Kumar’s first look from ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji’ film gets trolled

Fans of Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar may have another reason to rejoice, as his look from his upcoming Marathi movie ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat was unveiled on Tuesday after he started the film shoot in Mumbai, but the first look is getting trolled because of one visible glitch.

The shot which tracks Akshay essaying Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj also shows a chandelier in the frame. Now, here’s the catch. The chandelier has light bulbs installed throughout its rim. The reason behind the trolling is that bulbs were invented much after the tenure of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who ruled from 1630 to 1680.

One user commented, “What was the cinematographer even thinking while lighting up that scene.” Another wrote, “The focus puller missed that by light’ years.”

Then there’s one user who wrote, “They’re making a period film and they messed up with the timeline. Some research would be good.”

The good thing is that the makers can take a cue from social media and rectify the mistake in production provided they are open to feedback from the audience for whom they’re making the film.

Malaika Arora has a fear of mouthing dialogues

Diva Malaika Arora, who is currently seen in her reality show ‘Moving In With Malaika’ expresses her fear of mouthing dialogues.

The first episode of the series opens the doors to Malaika Arora’s strengths, weaknesses, and fears. She speaks her heart out about her fears and how she tries to overcome them one step at a time.

In a conversation with her manager Ekta, where she asks if Malaika was dodging a movie script because of her fear of acting.

Malaika says, “I am not dodging it… I am just not sure. Honestly, it’s not the fear of acting, but more about the discomfort I feel in mouthing dialogues. Standing up in front of people and actually being comfortable about emoting with dialogues is something I have always been a little apprehensive about. I get a little nervous about it… So that’s probably why I shy away from it.”

She adds: “Over the years there have been loads of scripts that I have seen and read but somewhere I’ve always stayed away. Well, that’s another fear of mine. Even in school, I used to hate when I had to mug up something and say it in public.

“I thought it was the most daunting task. I felt there was so much pressure, that it would make me feel very uneasy. I couldn’t eat, sleep or do anything if I had to learn something. So this fear of mine has just always been there.”

‘Moving in with Malaika’ is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

Niharika Chouksey says it was not easy for her family to accept her profession being a girl

TV actress Niharika Chouksey, who is playing the titular role in the show ‘Faltu’, said like the lead character, she also faced a similar kind of situation in her real life and felt discriminated against by her family members being a girl child.

She shared: “I had a similar experience in a way like Faltu when I told my parents that I want to make my career in acting. They were pretty supportive but my relatives weren’t. They were like girls shouldn’t be working in this field, this clearly shows their lack of knowledge about this and how discriminative they are.”

Niharika has been part of films such as ‘Jahaan Chaar Yaar’ in which she played the character of Swara Bhasker’s daughter, and she was also seen in ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’, playing the sister of Nushrratt Bharuccha.

Now, she is playing the lead in ‘Faltu’ which is all about the attitude of people living in rural parts towards girl children and how certain times they end up giving them names like ‘Faltu’ with a belief that the next child will be a boy.

The actress added that she would not have faced those kinds of differences with the family, had she been a boy and expressed a desire of becoming an actor.

“They wouldn’t have reacted in the same way if my brother wanted to do it, so as we can see we all face this kind of discrimination in our day-to-day lives and we don’t even know,” she added. Faltu airs on Star Plus.

Bhumi Pednekar: Have loved delivering the punches in ‘Govinda Naam Mera’

Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar, who plays Vicky Kaushal’s bombshell wife in the upcoming streaming movie ‘Govinda Naam Mera’, shares that her character has the most hilarious dialogues in the film and that the makers have subverted the industry norm by giving the punchlines to the female character.

Elaborating on the same, the actress says, “I honestly have loved delivering the punches in the film and I have to admit that I have been given some of the most hilarious punchlines by Shashank (Khaitan, the director). What I love the most about my dialoguebaazi (punchy dialogues) in ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ is that they are from the heroine’s side and that’s refreshing for a romantic comedy in the Hindi film industry because traditionally only heroes used to get all the great dialogues in a genre like this and make people laugh.”

She lauds the film’s producer Karan Johar and the director as she adds, “I’m glad that my producer Karan Johar and my director Shashank Khaitan thought of subverting the norm and empowering a girl to deliver some of the most cracking dialogues that I have seen on screen in recent times. Gauri Waghmare is literally one of my favorite characters that I have played on screen.”

Talking about her character, Bhumi mentions that she is equal to a man and constantly reminds a man that her gender doesn’t make her inferior and that she is the master of her own actions and decisions.

The film, which also stars Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal, is produced by Dharma Productions and will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from December 16.
