Actor Naga Shaurya to wed Anusha on November 20 in a grand ceremony

Young Telugu star Naga Shaurya is to tie the knot with Anusha, an interior designer by profession, on November 20 this year.

The popular actor will wed the interior designer at the JW Marriott hotel in Bangalore.

Sources close to the star said that both pre-wedding and wedding ceremonies will be held at the venue and that the wedding is scheduled to take place at precisely 11:25 a.m.

The pre-wedding rituals will kick-start with a Mehndi function on November 19. Sources also disclosed that there will be different dress codes for both Mehandi and the wedding ceremony.

The two-day wedding ceremony in Bangalore is expected to be a grand affair, with several celebrities from different film industries likely to attend.

On the professional front, Naga Shaurya just began work on his 24th film, tentatively being referred to as ‘NS24’.

Directed by debutant S.S. Arunachalam, the film is being produced by Srinivasa Rao Chintalapudi, Vijay Kumar Chintalapudi, and Dr. Ashok Kumar Chintalapudi for Vaishnavi Films.

‘NS24’ is said to have the biggest budget among all the films that Naga Shaurya has so far acted in.

Touted to be an action entertainer that will also have elements for youth and families, the movie will see Naga Shaurya undergoing a complete makeover.

One other interesting fact about the project is that popular Tamil music director Harris Jayaraj will be making a comeback to Telugu cinema, after a long gap.

Virat Kohli promises team will get better from here on

Former India skipper Virat Kohli has said the team had come to Australia for the ICC T20 World Cup to achieve their dream but fell short, but promised the side will strive to “get better from here on”.

Kohli again played a key role in helping India to a competitive 168 for six in 20 overs, scoring a 40-ball half-century, but Alex Hales and England skipper Jos Buttler’s unbeaten blitz of 170 runs made the target look minuscule as they breezed into the final to set up a blockbuster showdown with Babar Azam’s Pakistan with four overs to spare and all 10 wickets in hand.

Kohli was the stand-out batter in the side and continues to top the scoring charts with 296 runs from six innings and a batting average of 98.66, but his innings weren’t enough on a perfect Thursday afternoon at the Adelaide Oval as India bowed out of the global tournament, with the bowlers letting the side down.

Kohli took to Twitter to express his disappointment at missing the trophy one more time, saying “We leave Australian shores short of achieving our dream and with disappointment in our hearts but we can take back a lot of memorable moments as a group and aim to get better from here on,” said the charismatic India batter.

India’s next major ICC assignment will be the ODI World Cup at home next year and they would be aiming to recreate the magic of 2011 to win back the trophy after a series of debacles in ICC tournaments.

Kohli also thanked the fans for showing faith in the side and turning out in huge numbers to watch the match.

“Thank you to all our fans who turned up in huge numbers throughout to support us in the stadiums. Always feel proud to wear this jersey and represent our country,” Kohli wrote in another tweet.

Kohli was in smashing form during India’s thrilling last-ball win against Pakistan in the Super 12 opener on October 23, clobbering an unbeaten 82.

India’s disappointments in ICC events have continued to pile up with the team doing hardly anything of note since the 2011 ODI World Cup title triumph under Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

In the 2014 T20 World Cup final, Virat Kohli was the standout batter against Sri Lanka, but the rest didn’t turn up to the occasion at Dhaka. In the 2015 ODI World Cup semifinal at SCG, their batting crumbled under scoreboard pressure after Steve Smith raised a magnificent century.

In the 2016 T20 World Cup at home, Kohli again stood up to propel India to a high total. But West Indies, especially Lendl Simmons, successfully chased down the target with ease in the semifinals. In the 2017 Champions Trophy final, all was smooth sailing for India till Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Amir turned it around for Pakistan.

In the 2019 ODI World Cup semifinal, Rohit Sharma was in form of his life till Matt Henry and Co dismantled the Indian batting order.

Rashmika Mandana opens up about receiving negativity and hatred

Actress Rashmika Mandana has been witnessing a steady upward graph in her career but with great adulation also comes a lot of negativity and trolling. The actress recently opened up about being at the receiving end of hatred and trolling, in her recent social media post.

Taking to her Instagram, the ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ actress shared a picture of herself wearing a face mask while she sits in a boat surrounded by serene waters.

She shared a long note in the caption opening up about her state of mind and how negativity affects her.

She started off her note by writing, “Hi so. A couple of things have been troubling me these last few days or weeks or months or maybe even years now, and I think it’s time I address it. I am only speaking for myself – something I should have done years ago. I have been on the receiving end of a lot of hate ever since I started my career. Quite literally a punching bag for a lot of trolls and negativity out there (sic)”.

She further mentioned that she is aware that an actor’s life comes with a lot of appreciation and unwarranted hatred, “I know that the life I’ve chosen comes with a price- I understand that I’m not everyone’s cup of tea and certainly don’t expect to be loved by every single person out there. That doesn’t mean because you don’t approve of me you can spew negativity instead. Only I know the kind of work I put in, day in and day out to make you all happy. The happiness you feel from the work I put out is what I care about most. I really am trying the best I can to put out things that both you and I are proud of.”

She continued, “It’s heartbreaking and frankly quite demoralizing when I’m being ridiculed and mocked by the internet, especially for things that I Have Not Said. I’ve found that bits of things I’ve said in interviews are being turned against me. False narratives being spread across the internet can be very harmful to me and the relationships I have in or outside the industry.”

“I welcome constructive criticism because that’s only going to push me to improve and do better. But what’s with the vile negativity and hate? For the longest time, I’ve been told to ignore it. But it has only gotten worse. By addressing it, I’m not trying to win anyone over. I don’t want to feel closeted and forced to change as a human being because of this hate I keep receiving”, she added.

Rashmika concluded her note by acknowledging the love that she receives from different quarters, “That being said, I do recognize and acknowledge all the love I’ve been receiving from the rest of you. Your constant love and support are what have kept me going and given me the courage to come out and say this. I only have a love for everyone around me, the people I’ve worked with so far, all of whom I’ve always admired. I will continue to work hard and do better for you. Because like I said, making you happy -makes me happy. Be kind everyone. We’re all trying to do our best.”

After she posted the note, she received a lot of support from the members of the fraternity in the comments section.

Dulquer Salmaan, with whom Rashmika has worked in ‘Sita Ramam’, wrote in the comment section, “The love is from those who want to be like you. Hate is from those who never can. You be you ! You is amazing”.

Actress Elli AvrRam too dropped an adorable comment, “Big kuchipuchiii hug to you.”
