Ravi Teja’s ‘Ramarao On Duty’ follows same path as ‘Bheemla Nayak’, ‘Ghani’

Ravi Teja-starrer ‘Ramarao On Duty’ locks its release dates as the makers have two alternative dates for the theatrical release of the movie.

Following the same path as ‘Bheemla Nayak’ and ‘Ghani’, the makers have considered apparent postponements of the movie and hence have come up with two probable release dates. The movie ‘Ramarao On Duty’ may release on the previously stated date of March 25 or else it would arrive on April 15.

The makers, who took to their social media to announce the same, said that they have two probable dates for the theatrical release of the movie, keeping the current conditions in reference.

The official statement by the team ‘Ramarao On Duty’ reads: “We love our film. At the same time, we have immense respect for other films.”

“We slated ‘Ramarao On Duty’ for release on March 25, 2022. But due to latest developments, we intend to release our film either on March 25 or April 15, 2022.”

Billed to be a commercial movie, ‘Ramarao On Duty’ is inspired by true incidents, as claimed by the makers.

Divyansha Koushik and Rajisha Vijayan are to appear as the female leads opposite Ravi Teja.

Actor Venu Thottempudi, who once was one of the popular Telugu actors, will be seen in a vital role in ‘Ramarao On Duty’. The film will also have Nasser, Sr Naresh, Pavitra Lokesh, ‘Sarpatta’ John Vijay, Chaitanya Krishna, Tanikella Bharani, Rahul Rama Krishna, Eerojullo Sree, Madhu Sudan Rao, Surekha Vani, and others in notable roles.

Directed by debutante Sarath Mandava under Sudhakar Cherukuria’s SLV Cinemas LLP and RT Teamworks, the movie is in the last leg of shooting and will get wrapped up soon.

The flick’s soundtrack is provided by Sam CS, while the camera is handled by Sathyan Sooryan ISC. Praveen KL edits the film.

‘Bheemla Nayak’ makers announce release date with backup plan

Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati’s upcoming film ‘Bheemla Nayak’ has two dates for its theatrical release now. Keeping the uncertain pandemic conditions in reference, the makers of ‘Bheemla Nayak’, on Monday, made an announcement regarding the theatrical release of the movie.

Sithara Entertainments, on Monday, made it clear that the film will hit the screens on February 25 only if the situation on the pandemic front improves. Otherwise, the Pawan Kalyan-Rana Daggubati movie will be moved to April 1.

‘Bheemla Nayak’, like ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’, and other biggies, was supposed to hit the screens during the Sankranti season in January. But the makers of ‘RRR’ had convinced the makers of ‘Bheemla Nayak’ to postpone the release, keeping the box-office clash in consideration.

Now that most of the big-ticket movies in Telugu are all ready for their respective releases, it is expected that this summer would be full of entertainment for the Tollywood audience.

‘Bheemla Nayak’ stars Pawan Kalyan and Nithya Menen as a pair, while Rana Daggubati and Samyukta Menon are to appear as another pair in the movie.

Helmed by Sagar K Chandra, ‘Bheemla Nayak’ is an original remake of the Malayalam movie ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon. Produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, ‘Bheemla Nayak’ has SS Thaman as the music composer under the banner Sithara Entertainments.

Two possible release dates for Varun Tej’s sports drama ‘Ghani’

The makers of Varun Tej-starrer “Ghani” have picked two probable release dates.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the makers announced that, after careful consideration and deliberation, the film would be released on one of two dates.

“Depending upon the release schedule of other films, we would like a healthy release for all films. See you in theatres, very very soon,” the makers wrote. “Ghani”, starring Varun Tej as a boxer, is touted to be a sports drama with high-octane action.

The film was supposed to hit the screens last December. But, the third wave of the pandemic had made it impossible for the makers to release the movie at that point in time.

Directed by debutante Kiran Korrapati, the story is penned by Abburi Ravi. “Ghani” has its stunts composed by Dhilip Subbarayan and Larnell Stovall. It features Saiee Manjrekar as the female lead opposite “Fidaa” actor Varun Tej. Actors Upendra, Sunil Shetty, Naveen Chandra will be seen in significant roles.

‘Veerame Vaagai Soodum’ team releases sneak peek

Buoyed by the remarkable response to their film’s trailer, the team of director Thu Pa Saravanan’s action entertainer ‘Veerame Vaagai Soodum’, featuring Vishal and Dimple Hayathi in the lead, has now released a sneak peek video of the film on YouTube.

The 155-second long clip shows Vishal going to a bar in search of a man called ‘Maari’. However, he is misled by those present there. Eventually, a thrilling fight breaks out.

Vishal plays a cop who thinks out of the box in the film, which is to hit screens on February 4.

Already, the trailer had led many to believe that the film will provide a feast to action lovers. Now, the sneak peek clip has only gone on to strengthen that belief with over 32,000 giving the video a thumbs-up sign on YouTube.

Apart from Vishal and Dimple Hayashi, the film also features Yogi Babu, Marimuthu, Thulasi, Kavitha Bharathi, R.N.R. Manohar, Mariam George, and Maha Gandhi in important roles.

Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ preps up for theatrical release

Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh-starrer ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ is announced for theatrical release on May 12. The Parasuram Petla directorial is in the final leg of the shoot now.

The producers took to their social media handles to make this mammoth announcement on Monday.

Unleashing a super cool poster featuring Mahesh Babu, the makers announced the release date of ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’.

“Date for the AuCTION is locked! #SarkaruVaariPaata worldwide releases on May 12.” the tweet reads.

The poster features Mahesh Babu, who looks uber cool, with one of his coolest poses.

‘Sarkaru Vaari Pata’ is a film that was supposed to release on the eve of Sankranti this year but, got postponed due to multiple reasons, one of which is the third wave of the pandemic. But now, all decks are cleared and the Mahesh Babu starrer is all set to get wrapped up soon.

It is reported that the makers are busy winding up a few important sequences, after which they will break the pumpkin. The commercial drama is billed to be a political story, with Mahesh Babu playing a role like never before.

National award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh will be seen in a perky role as the female lead opposite Mahesh Babu.

Teaser of Arulnithi-starrer ‘Dejavu’ garners million views

The teaser of director Arvindh Srinivasan’s upcoming investigative thriller “Dejavu”, featuring actor Arulnithi in the lead, has garnered a whopping one million views on YouTube.

As many as 28,000 people gave the film’s teaser a thumbs-up sign on YouTube.

The film’s story revolves around Arulnithi, who plays an IPS officer in the film.

The teaser gives away the fact that there is a cat and mouse game going on between the mastermind of a crime and Arulnithi and how, until a point, the criminal is a step ahead of the cop.

Talking to IANS, Arvindh, who is pleased with the response to the film’s teaser, said: “We all come across several reports on crime in newspapers. One such report made me think of a hypothetical situation and that proved to be the spark for the story of ‘Dejavu’.”

The film, which is a bilingual, is to be simultaneously released in both Tamil and Telugu.

However, Ghibran, who has scored music for the film, has used a different version of the background score in the second version, to ensure it suits the taste of the audience.

Arvindh said: “In fact, the background score for both versions will appear to be different after a point.”

The exciting teaser has raised expectations from the film, which has cinematography by PG Muthiah.

Apart from Arulnithi, the film also features Smruthi Venkat, Madhoo (Madhubala), Achyuth Kumar, and Raghav Vijay among others.

Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ back on track, to be released on March 25

The much-hyped, and much-postponed, S.S. Rajamouli film ‘RRR’ is finally being released in theatres on March 25.

The makers of the magnum opus took to their social media handles on Monday to announce the release date.

Featuring Telugu actors Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles, ‘RRR’ is being touted as the fictionalized tale of two real-life unsung heroes, who fought for tribal rights. Ram Charan and Jr NTR respectively play Alluri Sitarama Raju, the leader of the Rampa Rebellion of 1922, and the Gond rebel Komaram Bheem, who took on the Nizam of Hyderabad.

Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris, Ajay Devgn, and Shriya Saran also play significant roles in this grand movie, whose music has been scored by M.M. Keeravaani, the ‘Baahubali’ composer.

In addition to Telugu and Tamil, the movie will be released in Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.

‘RRR’ was supposed to hit the screens in January, but the Covid-19 surge had pushed the makers to postpone the release. With the announcement of the release date, the film’s promotions will start all over again.

Vijay Deverakonda steps into Mahesh Babu’s shoes for soft drink endorsement

Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu has ended his long-term association with a leading soft drink brand, with popular actor Vijay Deverakonda stepping in his place.

After endorsing Thums Up for more than a decade, Mahesh has opted out and ended his deal with Coca-Cola. Vijay, who has now changed his Twitter user name to ‘Vijay Deverakonda Toofan’, has been roped in for the endorsement of the brand now.

Samantha’s first look from ‘Shakuntalam’ to be out soon

Actress Samantha’s upcoming mythology-based movie ‘Shakuntalam’, which is directed by Gunasekhar is in its final leg of the post-production phase now.

Producer Neelima Guna, who had a chat with her Instagram followers on Sunday, revealed that there are a series of updates coming up, one of which is Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s first look poster.

Neelima had a chat with her Instagram fans, who had asked her for an update on Samantha’s first look poster, to which she replied, “Very soon.”

“We have plans to release a series of updates. We can’t wait to show off Samantha’s first look from the movie,” she wrote.

When quizzed about the ‘Shakuntalam’ release date, she said that the magnum opus will be released soon this year. The young producer also announced that the ‘Shakuntalam’ team has planned to release the first single from the movie.

“We are working to release the first single soon,” she added.

“The first look will be out first. Other updates will follow,” Neelima’s message said.

As one of Samantha’s fans asked Neelima to describe Samantha, she wrote, “Beautiful, hardworking, resilient, passionate and an absolutely brilliant actor — our Shakuntala.”

‘Shakuntalam’ is expected to be released soon, as the post-production work is going on at a high pace.
