Adivi Sesh’s ‘Major’ to release in Malayalam

Actor Adivi Ses’s upcoming film “Major” will release in the Malayalam language, too. The film was earlier scheduled to release only in Telugu and Hindi. The film is inspired by the life of 26/11 martyr Sandeep Unnikrishnan.

“All the posters that we have released of ‘Major’ in the past one year, we have received a lot of love from all markets. It was also identified that there was a huge interest in this film in the Kerala market. So we decided to dub this film in Malayalam and give them a complete experience in that language,” director Sashi Kiran Tikka tells IANS.

Actor Adivi Sesh took to Instagram on Monday to make the announcement. Uploading the poster in Malayalam, Sesh captioned: “#MajorSandeepUnnikrishnan is INDIA’s son. Still, lots of people from his hometown #Kozhikode wanted to watch the film in #Malayalam. So here goes. With all my love to the people of #Kerala. #MajorTheFilm releases in Malayalam! Hindi Telugu.”

“Major” is the debut production venture of Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu.

Alia Bhatt’s Covid isolation update: One day at a time

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, who has tested Covid positive, shared a health update on Monday.

“One day at a time,” she wrote as a caption on Instagram, with a picture lying on the bed with her stuffed toys.

Alia tested positive for the virus on April 2. The actress took to Instagram and shared that she had isolated herself and was under quarantine at home.

Alia has multiple films lined up. She will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Gangubai Kathiawadi”. The film is slated to hit screens on July 30. She is also part of Ayan Mukerji’s “Brahmastra”, which also stars rumored boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor besides veterans Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna.

Alia will also be seen in SS Rajamouli’s “RRR”, Karan Johar’s “Takht” and Jasmeet K. Reen’s “Darlings”, which she has co-produced with Shah Rukh Khan.

Kartik Aaryan tests Covid negative, says ‘vanvaas khatam’

Actor Kartik Aaryan is heading back to work after testing negative for Covid-19. Kartik shared his health update with an Instagram picture, where he is seen using his finger as a minus or a negative sign.

“Negative… 14 din ka vanvaas khatam… Back to work,” Kartik, who had tested positive for Covid-19 on March 22, wrote as the caption.

Kartik is currently shooting for his upcoming horror-comedy film “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2” where he features alongside actors Tabu and Kiara Advani.

The film is a follow-up to the 2007 film “Bhool Bhulaiyaa” and is slated to hit the theatres in November this year. Kartik would also be seen in the film “Dhamaka” which would be released on OTT.

Akshay Kumar hospitalised due to Covid-19

Mumbai, April 5,(Telugu Bullet)  Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has been admitted to hospital with Covid-19. Akshay took to social media on Monday to share the health update.

“Thank you, everyone, for your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to be working. I am doing fine, but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalized. I hope to be back home soon. Take care,” Akshay Kumar tweeted.

On Sunday, the actor tweeted to inform us that he has tested positive for Covid-19 and is living under home quarantine.

Akshay Kumar is currently shooting for his upcoming film “Ram Setu”. Meanwhile, 45 crew members from the sets of the film have reportedly tested Covid positive, following which the shoot has been halted, Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) president B. N. Tiwari told indianexpress.com.

Kamal Haasan ready to sacrifice cinema for politics

Chennai, April 5,(Telugu Bullet)  Superstar-turned-politician and Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) chief Kamal Haasan on Sunday asserted that he is ready to quit cinema for the sake of politics.

Addressing media persons at Coimbatore, Kamal, who is contesting from the Coimbatore South seat in the April 6 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, said that he would complete all his movie assignments and contracts and is contemplating to walking off the silver screen if politics demands it.

“I am ready to quit the film world and show business for politics if it demands so. However late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and popular actor MGR had continued to act in movies even after becoming an MLA to communicate his ideas to the people of Tamil Nadu and to serve the people,” he noted.

Kamal also told media persons that he had received several threats during the election campaign but did not further elaborate.

He said that several political leaders had called upon him to quit politics and continue with cinema.

“Let us see who will quit politics… and as I said earlier, I will continue with politics.”

Kamal also said that his party has provided proper details to Election Commission officials on the details of the money spent during the campaign.

Sunny Leone: I want to stay here
