“We are more like friends in real life and we are constantly pulling each other’s leg,” says Arjun, about his bond with Anil.

“We are a tag team of entertainment. Filmmakers, maybe, should explore our bonding and camaraderie again because we can truly make people smile. You just have to throw us in one room say action and see the madness unfold,” says Arjun.

While a film offer hasn’t happened yet after 2017, the duo will be seen together in a commercial. “We are uniting for the second time and we hope that our combo will become a talking point again! It is a hilarious tongue-in-cheek ad that will highlight the relationship I share with my uncle Anil Kapoor. The ad captures our real-life banter and that’s what will make it relatable and extremely funny,” Arjun claimed.

TV actress Pooja Banerjee happy to resume yoga after accident

“Kumkum Bhagya” actress Pooja Banerjee has revealed how she has finally resumed yoga after recovering from a major accident in 2019.

“I had met with an accident on the set of a reality show a few years ago and suffered from multiple fractures in both my arms due to the incident. In fact, I had to undergo surgery for the same and they put two rods and eight screws into my hand,” Pooja recalled.

Opening up on life after the surgery, she added: “After the surgery, I was in so much pain that I thought I’d never been able to get back to normalcy and use my hands properly. It was a task to pick up things or hold on to things. I couldn’t work out or do a lot of things that I loved. Some days were tough, some days were fine, but I kept motivating myself and got back to work slowly and steadily.”

Pooja has finally resumed yoga and she says the activity has been a source of peace and energy.

“After nearly two years, I have finally started working out again and it feels so good to be able to do my favorite yoga, once again; it gives me so much peace and energy. Till earlier this year, I was just focussing on basic physiotherapy hand exercises through weights and Thera bands that I would carry with me on the sets of Kumkum Bhagya. Now I am able to do dolphin planks, little weight training, yoga asanas, Surya Namaskars, and a few push-ups as well,” she says.

Pooja says she has also regained confidence after recovering. “Most importantly, I have developed confidence in my own body, which I had lost a little after the accident. It’s surely been an overwhelming journey but having said that, I am grateful, and I just want to be the best version of myself. I will surely push myself as much as I can,” she concluded.

On the work front, Pooja plays the character of Rhea in Zee TV’s popular daily soap “Kumkum Bhagya”.

Tamannaah Bhatia: A thriller has the ability to let you binge-watch

South star Tamannaah Bhatia feels choosing a role in a thriller can always be an advantage for an actor because the genre has a high binge quotient.

This year, Tamannaah made her digital debut in April with the Telugu web series “11th Hour”, a crime thriller that also features Adith Arun and Vamsi Krishna.

In May, she returned to OTT space again with the Tamil whodunit drama “November Story” alongside Pasupathy, GM Kumar, Aruldass, and Vivek Prasanna.

“A thriller, if done well, has the ability to let you binge-watch. Now that is essentially what everybody who makes a show wants you to do. So, when you choose a genre like a thriller, if it is done well, it has a high potential of reaching that goal of being a binge-watchable show,” she says.

“11th Hour” streams on Aha while “November Story” is on Disney+ Hotstar VIP.

Lana Parrilla opens up on her character in ‘Why Women Kill 2’

Actress Lana Parrilla has opened up about her role in the second season of “Why Women Kill”.

“I play Rita in Why Women Kill season two. She is a sardonic wife, married to this elderly man, and she has waited long enough for her husband to die so she can live her best life,” Parrilla said.

“She’s the president of a gardening club that she rules with an iron fist and she spends most of her time perfecting her beauty and having this torrid affair with a handsome young buck!” she added.

The first season of the dark crime comedy show takes place in three different eras. The second season is around the main storyline and takes place in 1949.

Parilla added: “When I watched the first season, I actually binge-watched it twice, I really wanted to understand the show and the storytelling and also just the whole look of the show. This is very different because what we are doing on this show is the classic film noir style from the 1940s. So, it’s going to have a different feel from the first season.”

“From the sets coming back to real life, it is a weird transition, like when you go from a set in 1949 and you look up at your crew and everyone is wearing a mask. That’s a bit disorienting. It just kind of snaps you back into reality,” she said.

Parilla said it is fun stepping into a time machine and going back to 1949 and experiencing the fashion and the language of the time, which is prevalent on the show.

“Marc Cherry did an excellent job bringing in that kind of dialogue, like ‘Aw Geez!’ and things that they would say back then. The most upsetting thing was coming back home and looking at my own closet and looking at the clothes and seeing how drab everything looks! I’m so over my own fashion,” said the actress, who is known for her roles in films like “Frozen Stars” and “The Tax Collector” among others.

“Why Women Kill” season two streams on Voot Select starting June 3.

Why Payal Ghosh is watching J.Lo’s pole dancing these days

Actress Payal Ghosh is watching a lot of Hollywood star Jennifer Lopez these days, especially her role as a pole dancer in the 2019 crime comedy “Hustlers”. Payal says watching J.Lo’s moves closely is part of her learning process to master pole dancing, for a song in her upcoming film “New York To Haridwar”. Online sessions to polish her skills are on, too.

“The script for New York To Haridwar is absolutely enticing. I was then told there is a song that will require me to pole dance. They would be fine even if I did the front shots but I am taking to it fully as I want to ace,” Payal said.

“I watched Jennifer Lopez in Hustlers and have been absolutely smashed by that performance. I would give my best in this one for sure. online sessions are on. I would be meeting a coach and taking sessions as soon as the situation eases. Let’s all stay strong and defeat the pandemic first and follow all the protocols,” she added.

The film is written and directed by Rajeev Chaudhari, and will be extensively shot in New York and Haridwar.

Vishal Mishra: ‘Teri hogaiyaan 2’ is the quickest melody I have made

Singer-composer Vishal Mishra says the track “Teri hogaiyaan 2”, which he made for the ongoing web series “Broken But Beautiful 3”, is the quickest song he has made. He says the visuals of the version of the track, which was originally used in the second season of the series, inspired him to make the track even better and faster.

“This version of ‘Teri hogaiyaan’ is very special. When the older version came out, it had received much love and people were emotionally invested in it. When we wanted to make it, I was not sure what should be done, but when I saw visuals from the show it inspired me to make something that sounds like a different song — where people are trying to express anxiety. This is the quickest melody I have made. We completed the entire song in two and a half hours. It’s one of the most inspiring journeys I have had in a long time because I could feel the vulnerability of love. The song is close to my heart,” says Vishal.

Composed and sung by Vishal Mishra, and penned by Mishra and Kaushal Kishore, the song showcases the confession of love that Rumi (played by Sonia Rathee) makes for Agastya (Sidharth Shukla).

The makers released the romantic track after launching three songs, “Tere naal”, “Mere liye” and “Kya kiya hai tune”.

Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the third season of the show streams on ALT Balaji.
