‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ in theatres on November 19

The horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is all set to hit theatres on November 19, it was announced on Monday. The film stars Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu.

“KARTIK AARYAN – TABU – KIARA ADVANI: #BHOOLBHULAIYAA2 RELEASE DATE… #BhoolBhulaiyaa2 – starring #KartikAaryan, #Tabu, and #KiaraAdvani – to release in cinemas on 19 Nov 2021… Directed by Anees Bazmee… Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, and Krishan Kumar,” trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted confirming the news.

The Anees Bazmee directorial film follows the 2007 horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa, which starred Akshay Kumar, Shiney Ahuja, Vidya Balan, and Ameesha Patel. The film is expected to be a different tale with new characters. However, it will reportedly include two songs from the original film.

Apart from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik also features an upcoming thriller titled Dhamaka. The film casts him as a journalist who covers the live broadcast of a terror attack in Mumbai. The film is being directed by Ram Madhvani, who earlier called the shots on the film Neerja as well as the web series Aarya.

Asees Kaur: ‘Panghat’ song in ‘Roohi’ has a mad beat

The song Panghat, of the upcoming horror-comedy film Roohi, dropped on Monday. says the number has a mad beat.

Kaur has sung the song with Divya Kumar, Jigar Saraiya, and Sachin Sanghavi, and the number also had rap performed by Mellow D. It is composed by Sachin-Jigar, penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

The film stars Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor, and Varun Sharma, who also feature in the fun song. Panghat has upbeat lyrics that convey the internal monologue of Janhvi’s character.

Singer Asees Kaur said:  “Singing this song for Sachin-Jigar along with them and Divya Kumar was a dream. This is a song that has a mad beat. It’s the kind of song I would want to hear on the dance floor.”

The composer duo of Sachin-Jigar said: “We think our experience of creating it has translated into the vibe of the song. Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor, and Varun Sharma have enlivened the song in a special way and now we await the response of the listeners.”

Directed by Hardik Mehta, the film is scheduled to release on March 11.

Jio Studios & Dinesh Vijan present the film, produced by Vijan and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba.

The film’s co-producer Dinesh Vijan said that they wanted to push the envelope further after the album of his earlier production Stree.

“After Stree’s album became an overnight sensation, we wanted to push the envelope further with Roohi,” said Vijan, adding that the song has “immense repeat value”.

Venkatesh to star in Telugu remake of ‘Drishyam 2’

Director Jeethu Joseph, who directed Malayalam movie ‘Drishyam 2’, has teamed up with Telugu superstar Venkatesh to make the Tollywood remake of the film.

Jeethu Joseph took to Instagram to make the announcement on Sunday. He posted a picture of himself with Venkatesh and captioned it as, “Telugu remake of Drishyam 2. Starting in March.”

This will mark the Telugu debut for Jeethu Joseph and he will start shooting for the film in March 2021.

The Malayalam film stars Mohanlal in the lead role and releases on an OTT platform on February 19.

Bigg Boss 14 winner Rubina Dilaik says her only mantra was to touch everyone’s heart with an honest gameplan in the house, adding that she is already missing the house where she stayed for over 100 days.

Rubina took home Rs 36 lakh and the Bigg Boss trophy on being crowned the winner of the reality show on Sunday night. She defeated Rahul Vaidya, Rakhi Sawant, Nikki Tamboli, and Aly Goni.

“I had always prayed that I would reach the finale because my only mantra was that I want to touch everyone’s heart by living honestly. Winning the trophy was about ‘kismat ka Khel.’ I had left it to destiny but when I meet the hard work it is the most beautiful thing that can ever happen,” Rubina told IANS.

The actress was the only contestant who completed a stay of almost five months in the Salman Khan hosted show. Now that she returns home with the trophy, she is already missing the Bigg Boss house.

“I am missing the house. Now I feel that I can’t go back in, so the whole missing feeling is kicking in. I am actually missing the house already,” Rubina said.

What does she plan to do with the amount she won on the show? “I have the trophy on my lap like my baby and I did not realize that I have got a winning amount, too! So, honestly, I don’t know what I will do,” Rubina said.

Rubina has had her share of friends and foes in the house. Does she plan to be friends with former housemates out of the show?

“I am out with a clean slate and I am looking forward to building good and healthy relationships here onwards,” she said.

Actor Saif Ali Khan, who welcomed his second child with his wife, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan on Sunday, thanked fans and well-wishers for their love and said that Kareena and their newborn son are “safe and healthy”.

In an official statement issued by Saif Ali Khan, he said, “We have been blessed with a baby boy. Mom and baby are safe and healthy. Thank you to our well-wishers for their love and support.”

Saif and Kareena are already parents to their four-year-old son, Taimur.

Kareena was admitted to Breach Candy hospital on Sunday where she delivered their son.

Akshay Kumar realised need to reinvent during action hero stint

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar says he realized the importance of reinvention when he got stuck with the action hero image in the initial stage of his career.

“I realized it (the need to reinvent) long back because in the initial days I used to do only action films. I was known as an action hero. In fact, when I used to get up every morning, I would know I had to go on the set and do an action. I used to get bored and used to think ‘what am I doing by just doing the action’,” Akshay said.

He recalls using comedy to break away from the stereotype, and then also explored rom-com space.

“I tried doing different things. At that time, people used to say ‘tu comedy nahi kar payega (you won’t be able to do comedy)’. But Priyadarshanji and Rajkumar Santoshiji gave me my break in comedy, and they got me into it,” he said.

Asked what genre he wants to try, Akshay said: “I don’t go on the lines, he is a villain, he is a hero. I have done everything. If I like a film, I do it.”

Akshay will soon be seen in “Sooryavanshi”, in which he plays ATS officer Veer Sooryavanshi. He plays a RAW agent in “Bell Bottom”, and brings alive the heroism of Prithviraj Chauhan in “Prithviraj”. He also has “Bachchan Pandey”, “Atrangi Re”, “Raksha Bandhan” and “Ram Setu” lined up.

Kangana wraps Bhopal schedule of ‘Dhaakad’, hints at new venture

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has wrapped up shooting for the Bhopal schedule of her forthcoming spy thriller film “Dhaakad”.

On Sunday, Kangana took to Twitter to share the news of the schedule wrap of her film and also hinted at a “new venture”.

The actress wrote: “Schedule wrap alert…. most wonderful people, thank you chief Razy and my dear friend Sohail, the amazing team I had the time of my life. #Dhaakad is going to be something spectacular. Now running to another mission, new venture coming up.”

Kangana recently tweeted a still from “Dhaakad” that captures her in an action-packed avatar.

“You may think it’s strange to find solace in conflict, you may think it’s not possible to fall in love with the sound of the clash of swords, for you BATTLEFIELD might just be the ugly reality but for the one who is born to FIGHT there is no other place in this world where she belongs,” she captioned the image.

“Dhaakad” is billed as a spy thriller that casts Kangana as Agent Agni. Arjun Rampal plays the antagonist Rudraveer. The Rajneesh Razy Ghai directorial is slated to release on October 1.

Apart from “Dhaakad”, the actress will also feature in forthcoming films Thalaivi and Tejas. Kangana turns director for an upcoming film titled “Aparajita Ayodhya”.

Taimur Ali Khan has just turned elder brother as Bollywood star couple Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan welcomed their second baby boy on February 21.

As per reports, Kareena delivered her second baby at the city’s Breach Candy Hospital early on Sunday.

Confirming the news, Kareena’s cousin sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni shared on her Instagram story: “Congratulations Bebo and Saif. #itsaboy @kareenakapoorkhan.”

“Heartiest congratulations from men all of us at @MuktaArtsLtd to dear Kareena n saif for the arrival of blessed baby boy adding a glorious smile to everyone. My Special love n blessings @KareenaK_Khan @SaifOnline… With lots of love,” tweeted filmmaker Subhash Ghai.

In August last year, Kareena Kapoor announced her second pregnancy with a statement issued jointly with husband Saif.

The statement reads: “We are very pleased to announce that we are expecting an addition to our family !! Thank you to all our well-wishers for all their love and support.
–Saif and Kareena.”

This is Kareena’s second child after elder son Taimur Ali Khan, who was born on December 20, 2016. Saif and Kareena tied the knot on October 16, 2012.

Meanwhile, Kareena is working on her first book titled “Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible”, which is pitched as a comprehensive guide for expecting mothers. The book is slated to come out this year.

On the work front, Kareena will next be seen alongside Aamir Khan in his forthcoming film “Laal Singh Chaddha”, which is inspired by the Tom Hanks-starrer Hollywood film “Forrest Gump”.
