It is already known that Mahanati director Nag Ashwin is working on a film with a world-class appeal for Prabhas as the lead in it. But apart from the rumors on what could be the story backdrop of this movie, there are more speculations popping up each day about the heroine in it.

Though the official confirmation is yet to be made, Deepika Padukone appears to have signed in to pair up Prabhas in Nag Ashwin’s direction. Here is an indirect leak from the actress with today’s Insta story.

Deepika Padukone’s Instagram story has ‘Mahanati’ poster, asking her followers to ‘watch it now’, where she also tagged Nag Aswin to it. Nag too acknowledged it by calling it ‘a cool notification to wake up to’, which almost confirms their association for a project.

Ponmagal Vandhal is the first film to release on OTT directly sans theatrical release and this Tamil first is streaming from May 29. Talking to a popular journalist on his YouTube channel, Suriya and Jyothika have said that this film is very close to their heart.

Many have been against the idea of the film releasing on the OTT platform, but the couple stuck to their decision and went ahead with giving a nod to OTT release sans theatrical. Directed by JJ Fredrick, the film is produced by Suriya Sivakumar under 2D Entertainments.

Jyothika said, “I have done many films. But I always wanted do a film that I can tell my daughter to watch proudly. Ponmagal Vandhal is about safety of girls in today’s society and what we all need to do for them. So that’s why I say this film is very close to my heart.”

Suriya is someone who keeps praising Jyothika for always giving her best to work, and home as well. Talking about the OTT controversy, Suriya said, “Ponmagal Vandhal will be releasing in 200 countries through Amazon. We decided to release it on Amazon and we stuck to the decision, and aren’t really bothered of what others have to say.”

Actor and TDP MLA from Hindupur constituency Nandamuri Balakrishna has made sensational comments at TDP’s annual meet Mahanadu which was telecast through Zoom webinar. Speaking about AP government, Balayya expressed his doubt whether CM Jagan would serve his full term of 5 years.

Exuding over confidence, Balayya stated that TDP will comeback to power even before the next general election i.e before 2024. He indicated that YCP government which itself has 151 MLAs and support of few other MLAs from TDP and Janasena would lose its power. This is quite shocking as YCP has much more majority than the required.

Balayya further criticized Jagan’s government and said whether there is any government in Andhra Pradesh right now. He assured that TDP will come to power next. Breathing fire on Jagan-led AP government, Balayya said everyone was watching what his government is upto and everyone knows what this government is doing. The party (YSRCP) which came to power by seeking ‘Okka Chance” for power from people has failed to fulfill people’s wishes, said Balayya at Mahanadu.

Talking about YSRCP government, Balayya further said there is no need to fear for anyone. He asked party leaders and workers to be brave enough as they can’t be touched by ruling party.

Huge criticism is pouring down from all corners on Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams (TTD) on deciding to auction lands in Tamil Nadu. The main opposition TDP is bluntly opposing this move and now more and more voices are joining.

Hero Manchu Manoj is probably the first celebrity to question the TTD on auctioning the lands. Taking to his Twitter handle, Manoj shared a note which had many questions. “Did Lord Venkateswara asked TTD to sell the properties? It’s TTD that controls everything. A controversy has been surrounding actress Jyothika’s upcoming movie ‘Pon Magal Vandhal’ as there came reports that the film is gearing up for OTT release on Amazon Prime. This is said to have not gone down well with Tamil Nadu theatres management and expressed their disapproval with producer of the film Suriya.

Reacting on this, media claimed that Suriya fumed over theatres managements and made it clear that he would go ahead with the release of ‘Pon Magal Vandhal’ on OTT.

However, the team of Suriya has issued a clarification on the statements that are doing rounds in the media circles. They added that Suriya never commented in harsh way but accepted the issue of OTT release of the film is going on. Further the team said, the discussions are on between producer Suriya and theatres management.

Whether that poster will come out or not, composer Thaman has surprised them all, saying that he hasn’t started any work yet on the film.

As rumours are doing rounds that Thaman has already started composing songs for Jr NTR’s film, the composer has given clarity in a recent interview. He stated that director Trivikram hasn’t even narrated the basic theme of the film too.
