Actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra, choreographer Geeta Kapur, and filmmaker Anurag Basu will appear on an upcoming episode of “Super Dancer Chapter 4” in traditional Arunanchal Pradesh attire.

The wradrobe, including wraparound skirts, traditional headgear, and accessories, was gifted by participant Kosum’s mother, who hails from Arunachal Pradesh.

“I always love trying different attires, and the traditional costumes of Arunachal Pradesh are unique and fascinating. It shows their aesthetic style and enthusiasm for embellishment. Kusum’s mom made my wish come true,” said Geeta Kapur.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra added: “The state of Arunachal Pradesh is brimmed with diverse socio-cultures and an exquisite collection of handlooms. The art and the precision of the handicrafts speak volumes of the superiority of these costumes. I am so thankful to Kosum and his mother for being so thoughtful and gifting us these gorgeous attires. I can’t seem to get enough of my look”.

The upcoming episode of mega auditions will air on Sony Entertainment Television.

Actor Abhishek Banerjee, who plays a laundryman in the upcoming anthology “Ajeeb Daastaans”, has never used iron in his life! He had to stand around for hours and notice how the neighborhood ‘presswalas’ go about with their work.

Starring in Raj Mehta’s chilling segment “Khilauna” along with Nushrrat Bharuccha and child actor Inayat Verma, Abhishek says he loved the experience.

“My role was that of a pressman and the fun part is I do not know how to iron, even with a normal home iron, let alone those big bulky coal ones. The first time when Raj watched me try, he knew I was no good!” Abhishek laughs.

The actor, who is also a casting director, says he had to learn from scratch.

“I had to learn it from scratch and realized that this was something my father and wife wanted me to learn all my life, and it’s finally happening on the sets of Ajeeb Daastaans. The time we spent together on the sets was fun despite the intense learning experience and the dark storyline,” he recalls.

The actor is happy that he can at least iron his clothes now, after shooting for the film.

“It did not feel like work at all and I’m glad I can at least iron and fold my clothes,” he says.

“Ajeeb Daastaans” is set to release on April 16 on Netflix.

‘Gangubai Kathaiwadi’ Telugu teaser with Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Vakeel Saab’

Actress Alia Bhatt announced on Thursday the Telugu teaser of her film “Gangubai Kathiawadi” will be attached with Telugu star Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming theatrical release, “Vakeel Saab”.

Alia announced the news with a video she posted on Instagram stories. In the video she is seen greeting her Telugu fans in their language and then goes on to say in English: “It is such an honor and so exciting for me to be sharing something so special with the release of one of the most awaited films ‘Vakeel Saab.”

She later wished Pawan Kalyan and the team the best and asked fans to watch out because Vakeel Saab was coming.

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, “Gangubai Kathiawadi” stars Alia in the titular role along with actor Ajay Devgn in a pivotal role.

Pawan Kalyan’s “Vakeel Saab” is set to hit theatres on April 9.

Popstar Kesha will use the anti-SLAPP law to launch a counterclaim in her ongoing legal battle with American record producer Dr. Luke.

Anti-SLAPP laws are designed to provide for early dismissal of meritless lawsuits filed against people for the exercise of First Amendment rights in the US. “SLAPP” stands for Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation.

Kesha had accused the record producer of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. Luke had hit back, accusing the singer of defamation, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

A memorandum issued by Kesha’s team states: “As this Court has already found, Kesha’s statements that Dr. Luke sexually assaulted her (and another world-famous female artist) qualify as a matter of public concern. There could be no serious debate to the contrary. Indeed, one of the three courts to have already applied (the new anti-SLAPP statute) underscored that ‘sexual impropriety and pressure in the music industry’ ‘indisputably’ constitutes an issue of public interest.”

Allu Arjun feels the success of Telugu cinema has been possible due to the fact that fans across the country have showered love for films in the language.

“I’d like to thank the audiences from the other languages. It could be Tamil, it could be Malayalam, it could be Kannada, it could be the North Indian audience and also from other countries. Thank you so much for watching Telugu films. Thank you so much, you made us all so proud. Today, we have become one of the big markets, not because of our regional market, it is because of you. You made us big,” said Arjun.

The Telugu star was speaking at the announcement date event of his upcoming film “Puspa”, which has been scheduled to release on August 13, on the Independence Day weekend. The event, which took place here on Wednesday, saw “Pushpa” director Sukumar release glimpses of Arjun’s character Pushparaj.

The film pairs Arjun with Rashmika Mandanna for the first time, while this is the third time that Arjun has teamed up with director Sukumar. They earlier worked together in “Arya” and “Arya 2”. Based on true events, “Pushpa” revolves around the red sanders heist in the hills of Andhra Pradesh.

“Having a cast of stars such as Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil inspired us to make the reveal of the first glimpse of the movie a grand spectacle. We’re thrilled to present viewers a miniature view into the world of Pushpa and we are grateful to have such a loving audience awaiting the release of the film,” said producers Naveen Yerneni and Y. Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji, who has worked in Bollywood for 25 years now, says it is challenging to be a part of showbiz.

She says her advice to newcomers would be to understand that there are a lot of expectations in this industry.

“My only advice would be that being an actress in the film industry is not easy. It’s a very, very difficult profession to be in, as there are a lot of expectations that the audience has from you once you become an established star. Also, to be able to work in different conditions is not easy,” she says.

“Of course, on-screen it all looks glamorous and easy and nice. It looks serene and beautiful, especially the locations where we shoot at times, but actually working in the industry is very very hard,” she adds.

She urges people to only join the profession only if they are passionate about their craft.

“So, if you are ready to work really hard and you really love the craft of acting then you should be here, not for any other reason because success, glamour, name, and fame come only when the audience loves you. The first and foremost thing is to work sincerely so you gain loyal fans for life,” she says.

The actress will be seen in the upcoming films “Bunty Aur Babli 2” and “Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway”.
