Sunny Leone: I want to stay here

It has been nine years now for Sunny Leone in Bollywood, almost all of it in the spotlight and, of course, she wants to stay here.

After appearing in “Bigg Boss” season 5 in 2012, she made her Bollywood debut with”Jism 2″ the same year. Sunny describes the stint so far as “amazing”.

“I think it has been absolutely amazing. I do feel that I can follow my dreams and be in a place that is just so amazing. It is one of India’s most amazing places,” Sunny told IANS.

The actress, who is a mother of children Nisha, Noah, and Asher, is looking for a brighter future.

“I have really put in a lot of time on myself being here, and I want to stay here. Looking forward to many many more good experiences,” said Sunny, who is currently busy with “MTV Splitsvilla”.

Sunny is all set to make her debut on the digital space with the fictional web show “Anamika”, which is billed as a ‘gun-fu’ action thriller and is directed by Vikram Bhatt.

Mumbai, April 3 (Telugu Bullet): Actor Abhishek Khan plays a pivotal role in the thriller web show “Project 9191”, and he said the unusual nature of the story and his role drew him to the project.

The series is about a special team of law enforcers in Mumbai that works towards stopping crimes including kidnapping, extortion, terror threats before they are committed.

“He is not your usual techie, as often portrayed in shows and films. He is not someone who is over-the-top about codes and programming. Johnny as a character is subtle, sober, and kind. I’ve tried my best to keep it away from the cliches we encounter,” Abhishek said.

Directed by Subbu Iyer, the series features Satyajit Sharma, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Trishna Mukherjee, and Manini De along with Abhishek, and streams on Sony Liv.

Jayati Bhatia returns on ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ season 2

Actress Jayati Bhatia returns in the second season of “Sasural Simar Ka”. She plays Gitanjali Devi, or Mataji, in the show that has made her immensely popular.

“My character of Mataji has become synonymous with me and it is a testimony to the love and appreciation the viewer’s shower on us. While my character as Gitanjali Devi resonates with Mataji, there are few surprises that the audience will witness as the story unfolds,” she said.

She is looking forward to being back on the show that has made her popular.

“I am very excited to be back on the show, (it’s) more like a homecoming, I am looking forward to working with the new cast and with Dipika Kakar. I hope that season two of ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ tastes similar success as season one and achieves new feats,” she said of the Colors show.

Jay Bhanushali: Hosting shows gives actors chance to be ourselves

Actor Jay Bhanushali is currently seen on TV hosting “Indian Idol” season 12. He says that hosting shows helps his fans get to know him better.

The actor says that a basic structure is given to him in the show and he has a chance to improvise with his nuances.

“The best part of hosting is that we get a chance to build up our name and get a chance to be ourselves. There is a basic script which is given to us but it is up to us to make it more entertaining and more interactive for the audience,” he told IANS.

However, he adds that constantly coming up with something new is a challenge.

“The biggest challenge would be that after so many reality shows, we have to come up with new things every time. I am quite successful in that because people love to see me and they always appreciate my anchoring (skills). So, I am happy and glad that these challenges are there and which are helping me to grow as an anchor,” he says.

Raveena Tandon: Highest jump in Covid cases in India, let’s be careful

Actress Raveena Tandon on Friday reacted to the news that India has reported the highest jump in Covid-19 positive cases since October last year. She urged everyone to be careful.

Raveena shared a video on Instagram where she can be seen seated in a flight wearing a mask, face shield, and gloves while spraying sanitizer around her seat. The video was shot in December last year.

Sharing the video, the actress wrote: “My Paranoia, but rightfully so. #throwbackdecember2020 #flying in times of Corona .. #sanitisedworld #saferthansorry please keep wearing your masks. The highest jump in cases reported in India yesterday. Let’s be careful of our own safety and the safety of others. You might even just be a carrier so please be careful around people.”

India has recorded a steady spike in cases over the past three weeks. Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Punjab, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh are logging a steep rise in daily new cases.

Taapsee Pannu announces summer, shares ‘Shabaash Mithu’ pic

Actress Taapsee Pannu on Friday announced the onset of warmer days with a new Instagram picture from the shoot of her upcoming film “Shabaash Mithu”.

The picture is one of the many she has been posting from her preparation sessions for the film, a biopic on Indian women’s ODI cricket team captain Mithali Dorai Raj.

In the picture, Taapsee can be seen in cricket gear, with her hands on her helmet. “Summer has arrived #ShabaashMithu,” she wrote.

Produced by Viacom 18 Studios, the film has been directed by Rahul Dholakia. It has been penned by Priya Aven.

Meanwhile, the actress has her hands full with multiple projects. She will be seen in the film “Loop Lapeta”, which also stars actor Tahir Raj Bhasin. The film is a Hindi remake of the German hit “Run Lola Run”.

Besides this, Taapsee also has the mystery thriller “Haseen Dilruba”. The film has been directed by Vinyl Mathew and she will share the screen with Vikrant Massey in the film.

Her other upcoming film is “Rashmi Rocket”, which casts her as a long-distance runner.

Kangana on B-Town female colleagues: ‘Why they gang up on me?’

Actress Kangana Ranaut on Friday alleged that she has not received any support or praise from female colleagues in the film industry, and revealed the reason why she is on Twitter.

“There is not a single actress in this industry who I have not supported or praised here is the proof, but none of them ever showed any support or praise for me, have you ever thought why? Why they gang up on me? Why this conspiracy to look through me and my work? Think hard,” Kangana Ranaut tweeted.

Her tweet came in reaction to a fan page that shared a video where Kangana is appreciating other Bollywood actresses.

In a separate tweet, Kangana alleged that other actresses never turn up for her film previews even though she attends theirs.

She wrote: “As you can see how comfortably I go for their movie previews when they invite by calling and messaging me directly, they send flowers and pamper me to the sky and when I call them for my previews they don’t even take my calls now I bajao them every day cause that’s what they deserve.”

Reacting to Kangana’s tweet, a fan wrote: “I see that you made earnest efforts to maintain harmony among your peers, but it seems like they never had the grace to reciprocate the same warmth…”

To this, the actress replied: “Agree, I always indulged in my craft to an extent that I had no sense of time and space whenever I emerged from my little bubble I saw horrible PR around me by these women trying to make me look insecure and unsupportive, hence decided to be here on Twitter for seedy baat no bakwas (straight talk and no rubbish).”

Katrina Kaif: ‘Learning new things, finding my flow’

Actress Katrina Kaif has shared the key ingredients that define her success.

Katrina’s next release is “Sooryavanshi”, opposite actor Akshay Kumar. The film directed by Rohit Shetty is slated to hit the screens on April 30.

She also has the horror-comedy “Phone Bhoot” lined up. It has been directed by Gurmeet Singh and also features Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi.
