There are some great new and old movies on OTT platforms that you may have not watched yet. Take this lockdown to cross off these gems off your list too.

1. KANPURIYE – HOTSTAR

We’ve all been waiting for the second season of Mirzapur with bated breath. In the meantime, Divyendu Sharmaa who plays the iconic Munna Bhaiya will play the role of Vijay in Hotstar’s Kanpuriye. This film is about three individuals whose dreams are hanging by a thread. Life keeps throwing googlies and them and if they want to achieve what they desire, they must overcome these obstacles. Aparshakti, Vijay and Harsh Mayar also have crucial characters in this Hotstar special.

2. CHHAPPAD PHAD KE – HOTSTAR

Another Hotstar special that recently released is this comic caper. The Gupchups are your regular middle-class family, whose life takes a major turn when they find a bag containing crores of rupees. The only reason you should watch this film for is Vinay Pathak. The legendary actor is known for his impeccable comic timing and acting chops. This film is just another feather in his hat.

3. BANGALORE DAYS – HOTSTAR

You may have heard of South Indian heartthrob, Dulquer Salmaan. Well, this is the movie that made him everybody’s celebrity crush. The story is about three friends, who after college go on very different paths of life. But these paths are a roller coaster between facing challenges and appreciating life for what it is.

4. A QUIET PLACE – NETFLIX

If you’re notable who likes psychical thrillers, this Oscar-nominated film on Netflix should be your pick in the lockdown. It tells the story of a group of four seeking to defend itself from blind yet sound-sensitive monsters who have killed most of the human race. It also features real-life couple Emily Blunt and John Krasinki in lead roles, with the latter having directed the film too. Be prepared to keep the lights on tonight.

5. ALA VAIKUNTHAPURRAMLOO – NETFLIX

Ala Vaikunthapurramloo only released on January 12, 2020. New out of the screens, it has been appended to the record of the latest movies on Netflix. It’s ideal for those of you who desired watching it on the big screen. This movie follows the story of a company heir exchanged at birth, a clerk and how he finds his way back to his real home and parents. You should watch it for the following reasons. Allu Arjun, Tabu, Sachin Khedekar, and Pooja Hedge.
