South Indian actor Naga Chaitanya is gearing up to allure his fans with his next film ‘Thank You. The trailer of this highly-anticipated movie was released by the makers on Tuesday.

Establishing the themes of self-discovery, the theatrical trailer of Thank You depicts Naga Chaitanya’s character navigating his way through life and love.

Naga Chaitanya plays Abhi, a young and wealthy businessman who was once a happy-go-lucky guy but became self-centered and arrogant due to circumstances. He is portrayed as an aggressive man who is proud of his success.

As seen in the trailer, Chaitanya sports different looks. The trailer’s aesthetics are rich, as one would expect from a Vikram K. Kumar film.

The leading ladies are Raashii Khanna, Malavika Nair, and Avika Gor, and the story will be driven by how these personalities affect Chaitanya’s life.

“A greater sort of love is love that lets’s go rather than pressuring loved ones to stay”, Naga Chaitanya says in a dialogue in the trailer, which hints at the film’s theme and tone.

‘Thank You’ will hit the screens on the 22nd of this month. Dil Raju and Sirish are producing the film. Thaman composed the music.

George Lucas let ‘Star Wars’ actors choose how they pronounced names

0

‘Star Wars’ legend Mark Hamill has revealed that creator George Lucas ‘didn’t care how the names in the sci-fi epic were pronounced’ and let the cast say them however they wanted.

Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill has been attempting to solve the debate over some of the sci-fi franchise’s pronunciations in a Twitter question-and-answer session with fans and he’s said there’s actually no right or wrong way to say any of the characters’ names featured in the films, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

In a post on Twitter, Hamill explained: “FYI: When we would ask George: ‘Is it Chew-bah-ka or Chew-back-a?’ / ‘Is it Lay-a or Lee-a?’ / ‘Is it Hahn or Han (as in hand)?’- he would just shrug and didn’t really care. He told us it would be pronounced in various ways in different parts of the galaxy.#TrueStory.”

Other pronunciation mysteries Mark attempted to solve included the AT-AT – the four-legged battle walker used by the Empire – even posting a poll from the official ‘Star Wars’ account which revealed fans were split but the pronunciation was the same.

He added: “I think it’s ‘AT-AT’ (using the keyboard at symbols), even though I always called them ‘walkers’.”

Dave Filoni, who has worked on numerous ‘Star Wars projects as a writer, director, and producer for Lucasfilm over the years, previously echoed the sentiment.

Speaking at a fan event back in 2020, he explained: “You can say at-at, you can say A-T-A-T, and you can say, walker. I’m for all three. That’s canon because in(‘The Clone Wars’) I have imperials say walkers, I have them say at-at, and I have them say A-T-A-T.”

Ryan Gosling rules out starring as Marvel’s Nova

0

Hollywood star Ryan Gosling’s name was brought up as a possible strong contender to play Marvel’s Nova, who is said to be getting a live-action movie.

However, the actor has apparently shut down the speculation. In an interview with ‘Happy Sad Confused’ host Josh Horowitz, the 41-year-old actor ruled out the possibility of him playing a member of the Nova Corps, though he revealed his interest in playing another superhero, reports aceshowbiz.com.

“Ryan and I chatted about the Nova rumors yesterday which he said aren’t true,” Horowitz shared on Twitter.

“BUT this morning Ryan reached out to me to say there is one superhero he wants to play…GHOST RIDER.”

Rumors emerged earlier this week that Marvel Studio is developing a Nova project, though details were scarce.

Later, it was reported that the project will take the form of a limited series on Disney+, akin to ‘Moon Knight’. Further fuelling the speculation that the project would be brought to life as a series is a fact that ‘Moon Knight’ writer Sabir Pirzada is attached to the Nova project.

Gosling is currently busy filming ‘Barbie’, a live-action adaptation of the Mattel toy line. The ‘Blade Runner 2049’ star portrays Ken in the film, which is directed by Greta Gerwig and based on a screenplay written by herself and Noah Baumbach.

He stars opposite Margot Robbie, who plays the titular character.

Plot details remain scarce, but the actress has said that the film’s goal was to subvert expectations.

“… we like the things that feel a little left of center. Something like Barbie where the IP, the name itself, people immediately have an idea of, ‘Oh, Margot is playing Barbie, I know what that is,’ but our goal is to be like, ‘Whatever you’re thinking, we’re going to give you something totally different – the thing you didn’t know you wanted,’ ” she told The Hollywood Reporter in April.

She added: “Now, can we truly honor the IP and the fan base and also surprise people? Because if we can do all that and provoke a thoughtful conversation, then we’re really firing on all cylinders.”

‘Pushpa’ fame Sukumar behind Ram Pothineni’s chain-smoking

0

Ram Pothineni, who is now promoting his next film ‘The Warrior, recalls becoming a chain smoker only for the sake of playing a role in one of his films.

It is not uncommon for actors who have never smoked to be required to smoke in their films. Ram Pothineni recounted an example of such an encounter, and how he became a chain smoker following an attempted impersonation of his character.

“I was 18 when I shot ‘Jagadam’. While filming, I had to smoke a lot of cigarettes. I had never smoked before in my life,” Ram Pothineni said in one of his interviews.

He explained why he became a chain smoker: “My director, Sukumar, has a keen eye for detail. During the filming of ‘Jagadam,’ he was not satisfied with the way I held the smokes in my hand. So I started this habit, without realizing that I had quickly become a chain smoker “.

“However, I made it a point to quit smoking on the final day of Jagadam’s filming, and so did I,” Ram explained.

Ram Pothineni is now looking forward to the release of The Warriors on July 14 in theatres.

The actress brought it up with the officials at the Lord’s in the hope to see a change in the future.

Jon took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the film. Showering praise, he tweeted with the film’s still: “Holy hell, RRR. Has any movie ever packed more movies into a movie? What a ride. Still thinking about it a couple of days later (sic).”

The movie team has shared the same with the world through their social media handle. Not just Jon Spaihts, but several known Hollywood celebs have been lauding the film for its content, ever since it started streaming on Netflix.

Earlier in June, Doctor Strange screenwriter C. Robert Cargill watched the movie and shared his review on Twitter. Sharing his reaction to the period drama, Cargill wrote: “Friends came over last night to initiate me into the cult of RRR (Rise, Roar, Revolt) and I’m here to report I am now fully, truly, deeply a member.”

He also described RRR as “the craziest, most sincere, weirdest blockbuster I’ve ever seen.” Cargill added that he was quite certain that he was going to watch the movie once again with his partner.

RRR opened in theatres worldwide on March 25 this year. It is set in colonial India and narrates a fictional story of two freedom fighters, Komaram Bheem, a tribal rebel leader played by Jr NTR, and Alluri Sitarama Raju played by Ram, who infiltrates the British police forces for a coveted mission.

Shivaleeka Oberoi: An inside-out transformation was a must for ‘Khuda Haafiz 2’

0

Actress Shivaleeka Oberoi, who is currently riding high on the response to the film ‘Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2 Agni Pariksha’, has shared that the first installment of the film was based on a real incident and also inspired by Ramayan, while the second part is about what unfolds after a happy ending.

For revisiting the role of someone who has been through a living nightmare, Shivaleeka spared no effort to pull off an inside-out transformation. She conveys that the transformation was a must for the Faruk Kabir directorial.

Shivaleeka says, “Essaying Nargis has been enriching for me as an actor. People say fear is in the head, but if you live the life of a woman and walk in the shoes of the women you know, you’ll realize that fear is very real.”

“In this chapter, Nargis is shaken and traumatized because of the turmoil she overcame in the first chapter. Her husband loves her to death but she can’t move past what has happened.”

She adds, “An inside-out transformation was a must for this role. From going sans makeup to getting into the headspace of someone stuck in the mayhem of emotions, I gave this role whatever I had.

“I think this is the kind of film every man should watch to gain perspective of what women go through in their lives.”

Zee Studios, Cinergy, and Panorama Studios present a Panorama Studios production – ‘Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2 Agni Pariksha’, written and directed by Faruk Kabir, produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, Sneha Bimal Parekh, Ram Mirchandani, with music by Mithoon & Vishal Mishra, co-produced by Sanjeev Joshi, Aditya Chowksey, Hasnain Husaini & Santosh Shah, and starring Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi.

A Panorama Studios and Action Hero Films pan-India release, ‘Khuda Hafiz 2’ is running successfully in cinemas currently.

Pawan Kalyan’s classic title considered by Akhil Akkineni

0

Classic Pawan Kalyan film titles appear to be in high demand. According to recent speculations, Akhil Akkineni may take the title ‘Thammudu’ for his next film.

Varun Tej, Pawan Kalyan’s nephew, used the title ‘Tholiprema’ a while back, and Vijay Deverakonda has secured the title ‘Kushi’ for his next project with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Now, it appears that the Akkineni ‘Agent’ would be the next to work on Pawan Kalyan’s old film title.

After his ambitious movie with Allu Arjun failed to take flight due to varied reasons, ‘Vakeel Saab’ director Venu Sreeram shifted his focus to Akhil Akkineni. Committed to making films for Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations, for now, Venu Sreeram has apparently got the nod of Akhil Akkineni for his next.

“Venu is toying with the idea of naming his next film with Akhil Akkineni ‘Thammudu'”, an online source stated. Aside from the title, sources reveal little about Venu Sreeram’s film being linked to Pawan Kalyan’s classic film ‘Thammudu’ (1999).

The source goes on to add that Akhil Akkineni-Venu Sreeram’s film will mostly move to floors after the actor begins his immediate next, which is mostly with a noted Tamil filmmaker.

For now, Akhil Akkineni awaits the release of his highly-anticipated movie ‘Agent’.
