Yash Shocks Fans With 15-Minute Ramayana Role

After the thunderous success of KGF, fans expected Yash to dominate the screen in his next big venture, Ramayana, where he plays the iconic role of Ravana. But the latest buzz has left many stunned: Yash will reportedly appear for just 15 minutes in Ramayana: Part 1.

According to reports, Part 1 will primarily focus on Lord Rama’s early life and journey, with Ravana being introduced only toward the end. This limited screen time is said to be a strategic move to build anticipation for Part 2, where Ravana’s role—and Yash’s performance—will take center stage.

 Mixed Reactions Online

This unexpected update has led to mixed reactions from fans on social media. While some are disappointed that their favorite star will have such a small presence, others are optimistic that it’s a well-planned buildup to a grand reveal in the second part.

So far, there’s been no official confirmation from the film’s team regarding Yash’s exact screen time.

 A Star-Studded Mythological Epic

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is being produced on an epic scale. The cast includes

  • Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama

  • Sai Pallavi as Sita

  • Sunny Deol as Hanuman

  • Ravi Dubey as Lakshmana

With music by Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman and plans to release the film in two partsDiwali 2026 and Diwali 2027—the stage is set for one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious mythological adaptations.

 What’s Next for Yash?

While his Ravana role may be brief in Ramayana: Part 1, Yash has another massive project lined up:
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, directed by Geetu Mohandas. Set in a gritty gangster world, the film stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, and Huma Qureshi. It’s scheduled to hit theaters on March 19, 2026.

Between Ramayana and Toxic, Yash’s lineup remains powerful, even if his first appearance as Ravana is just a taste of what’s to come.

Badass First Look: Siddhu Jonnalagadda Goes Dark and Gritty

Sithara Entertainments has just dropped the first-look poster of their upcoming film Badass, and it’s already making waves online. With the tagline “If Middle Finger Was a Man,” the poster sends a clear signal—this film isn’t holding anything back.

Starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Badass reunites him with director Ravikanth Perepu, the duo behind the cult hit Krishna and His Leela. However, unlike their previous outing, this time they’re stepping into a much darker, emotionally intense narrative.

 A Radical Shift in Tone

Known for his playful, boy-next-door roles, Siddhu is taking a major leap with Badass. The film aims to showcase his range and depth as a performer, diving into gritty emotional territory rather than his usual romantic or comedic flair.

What adds more intrigue is that both Siddhu and Ravikanth have co-written the script, hinting at a story deeply rooted in personal vision and creative synergy.

 Big Budget, Bigger Ambitions

Backed by S. Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, Badass is being produced under the banners of Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas, and Srikara Studios. With a larger budget, a fresh creative direction, and a confident launch, the film is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Telugu releases of 2026.

The fierce and fearless first look has raised expectations, and fans are now eager to see how Siddhu transforms into a full-blown ‘badass’ on screen.

Behind the Delays: Why Hari Hara Veera Mallu’s Release Kept Getting Postponed

0

Behind The Scenes of ‘Veeramallu’s Postponements’

After being postponed three times, Hari Hara Veera Mallu—starring Powerstar Pawan Kalyan—is finally set to hit theaters on July 24th. But why so many delays? Producer AM Rathnam has now revealed the real reasons behind the shifting release dates, pointing to a complicated dance with OTT partner Amazon Prime Video and unavoidable post-production hurdles.

OTT Pressure Behind Release Dates

Rathnam admitted that streaming platforms are increasingly influencing theatrical release schedules, especially in the South Indian film industry. With a strict 28-day OTT window, platforms like Amazon operate on fixed calendars that span months in advance—leaving little room for sudden changes. When producers miss agreed-upon dates, penalties follow.

In HHVM’s case, the team had originally locked March 28, 2025, as the release date. However, that was shifted first to May 9, then to June 12, and now to July 24. Each date change required fresh discussions with Amazon, which had already slotted in the digital premiere.

 Missed Commitments & Penalties

AM Rathnam revealed that failing to meet the March release commitment led Amazon to levy a financial penalty. Despite that, further delays became inevitable, mainly due to pending VFX work. The team requested a May or June release but again had to push things further when the film wasn’t ready.

Interestingly, Amazon preferred a December release, citing calendar congestion, but Rathnam resisted. He argued the film might lose steam if pushed that far. After negotiations, Amazon finally greenlit a July 25 OTT debut, while the producer opted for a July 24 theatrical release due to a ‘Baba sentiment’—a Thursday opening believed to be auspicious.

 Business Rumors Addressed

In response to rumors that HHVM’s theatrical business was underwhelming, Rathnam clarified that the film’s deals were not delayed due to a lack of interest but strategically timed. He waited until the trailer dropped to attract better offers rather than rushing into early sales.

Rathnam emphasized that films are not always budgeted based on a hero’s past box office numbers but often on what the script demands. He admitted that current market conditions are tough, with recent big-budget failures causing buyers to be cautious and negotiate harder.

Still, Rathnam remains optimistic that Hari Hara Veera Mallu will emerge as a box-office blockbuster, especially now that all pieces are in place for its long-awaited debut.

Soubin Shahir Arrested in Manjummel Boys Fraud Case, Later Released on Bail

Soubin Shahir Arrested in ‘Manjummel Boys’ Fraud Case, Later Released on Bail

In a shocking turn of events, actor and producer Soubin Shahir was arrested by the Maradu Police in Kochi in connection with a financial fraud case related to the blockbuster Malayalam film Manjummel Boys. Co-producers Babu Shahir and Shaun Antony were also taken into custody after two days of police questioning.

However, all three were released on anticipatory bail, which had already been granted by the Kerala High Court.

The case stems from a complaint filed by Siraj Valiyathura, a resident of Aroor, who accused the trio of collecting ₹7 crore in multiple phases, promising a 40% share in profits from the film. Despite the massive commercial success of Manjummel Boys, the complainant claims he never received his agreed-upon share of the profits.

Speaking to the media, Soubin Shahir maintained that the investment had already been returned and that the profit share amount had been set aside, but the complaint was lodged just before the disbursal.

Police reports allege that investors were misled into believing the film’s first shooting schedule was completed, even though production hadn’t begun at the time. The producers’ plea to quash the case was rejected by the High Court, allowing the investigation to proceed.

In their defense, the producers claimed the investor failed to release the committed funds on time, which disrupted the production schedule and impacted revenues—ultimately leading to the delay in profit-sharing.

Despite the controversy, Manjummel Boys, directed by Chidambaram, became one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films of all time, collecting over ₹240 crore worldwide. It was particularly successful in Tamil Nadu and had a decent run in the Telugu states, even with a delayed release.

Produced by Soubin Shahir, Babu Shahir, and Shaun Antony, the film also featured Soubin in a lead role. While the project’s box office performance remains uncontested, the legal case has cast a shadow over its production team.

On the professional front, Soubin Shahir is gearing up for his role in Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rajinikanth’s upcoming action drama Coolie, scheduled to release on August 14.

Vijay Deverakonda Drops One Script for Ethics, Picks Kingdom with Gowtham Tinnanuri

Article: Vijay Deverakonda Chooses ‘Kingdom’ Over Another Script Out of Respect

Vijay Deverakonda’s much-anticipated film Kingdom, directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, has officially completed its shoot. The action drama, produced by Sitara Entertainments in association with Fortune Four Cinemas, is now in post-production and set for a grand theatrical release on July 31.

In a recent interaction, Vijay Deverakonda shared insights into how the collaboration with Gowtham Tinnanuri materialized. Interestingly, the actor confirmed that he signed on to the project even before the script was locked, purely based on his admiration for the director.

“Kingdom is a film where I picked the director before the script. I just wanted to work with him,” Vijay said.

Gowtham Tinnanuri, known for emotionally driven storytelling in films like Jersey, had pitched two scripts to the actor. While both caught his attention, Vijay made a conscious decision to drop one out of respect for another filmmaker.

“The other script was good, but it overlapped too much with something that was already in development. I know the makers, and even though we could’ve completed ours first, it didn’t feel ethical or respectful,” Vijay explained.

Instead, he chose Kingdom—a film that resonated with his personal creative goals.

“It’s an action drama, something I’ve been wanting to do for a while. And it’s told in Gautham’s unique style,” he added.

With the shoot wrapped and the trailer expected soon, Kingdom is gearing up to be a crucial release for Vijay Deverakonda as he aims to regain momentum at the box office.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu Not Based on History, Clarifies AM Rathnam | Pawan Kalyan Period Drama

“Hari Hara Veera Mallu Isn’t Based on History, Clarifies Producer AM Rathnam”

Despite being promoted as a period film rooted in history, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, starring Pawan Kalyan, is not based on a real-life historical figure. The upcoming Telugu film has sparked debates online over its historical accuracy, especially regarding the timeline of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.

Social media users raised questions about how the titular character, Veera Mallu—who is believed to have lived two centuries before Aurangzeb invaded the Golconda region—could be shown in conflict with the Mughal ruler. In response to the growing confusion, producer AM Rathnam issued a clear clarification.

Speaking to the media, Rathnam explained that Hari Hara Veera Mallu is a fictional story set during the Mughal era. The protagonist, Veera Mallu, is a fictional warrior crafted specifically for this narrative. The film revolves around Veera Mallu’s daring mission to steal the Kohinoor diamond during a time when diamond mining was flourishing in India.

The producer emphasized that while the film is set in a real historical period, it doesn’t misrepresent any documented historical events or figures. Rather, it creatively weaves a story of rebellion, valor, and adventure through an imaginary character.

The project initially started under the direction of Krish Jagarlamudi but was later taken over by AM Jyothi Krishna, son of AM Rathnam. With music composed by MM Keeravani and Niddhi Agerwal cast as the female lead, the trailer has already heightened excitement among fans.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu is all set to hit theaters on July 24th.

Nayanthara Wedding Documentary in Legal Trouble Again | Madras HC Issues Notices

Madras HC Sends Notice to Netflix & Tarc Studios Over Nayanthara Wedding Docu Copyright Row

Nayanthara’s fairytale turns into a legal battle.

The much-hyped wedding documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale is once again in legal trouble. On July 8, 2025, the Madras High Court issued notices to Netflix and Tarc Studios after a copyright infringement plea was filed by AP International, the production house behind Chandramukhi (2005).

According to AP International, the documentary illegally featured behind-the-scenes footage from the Rajinikanth starrer without their consent. This, they argue, occurred despite issuing prior legal notices demanding ₹5 crore in damages.

The court has now directed all involved parties to respond within two weeks.

But that’s not all. The documentary already faces another copyright lawsuit from Wunderbar Films, the production company owned by actor Dhanush. They claim the film used a three-second clip from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan (2015) without proper authorization.

In that petition, Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan, and their production house, Rowdy Pictures, have also been named, with ₹10 crore in compensation being sought.

From a dreamy love story to a courtroom drama, Nayanthara’s documentary has now become the center of two major copyright battles.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu Runtime Revealed – Pawan Kalyan’s Film Opts for a Crisp Cut

Hari Hara Veera Mallu Locks Crisp Runtime Ahead of Release—Here’s the Duration

Power star Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited period action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu (HHVM) is all set for a grand theatrical release on July 24, 2025. With post-production work nearing completion, the film’s runtime has become a trending topic among fans and industry circles.

Given that HHVM is a lavishly mounted period film, expectations were leaning toward a runtime of over 2 hours and 50 minutes. However, the makers have taken a more audience-friendly approach, reportedly finalizing the runtime at 2 hours and 40 minutes, according to overseas ticketing platforms.

This is being seen as a smart move, especially in an era where tighter runtimes often result in better audience engagement and stronger box office pull. A 2-hour 40-minute duration is now being considered a “healthy runtime,” especially for big-budget period dramas that feature extensive action, drama, and songs.

With Pawan Kalyan at the center, viewers can expect power-packed fight sequences and emotionally driven storytelling. However, the team is said to have structured the film to maintain a balanced pace without overindulging in any one aspect—making it a complete entertainer.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu is directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and Jyothi Krishna, with music composed by MM Keeravani. As anticipation builds for this epic saga, the tight runtime only adds to the film’s promise of delivering an engaging cinematic experience without dragging.
