Whether Nandini Reddy condemns the rumour or not, there is a talk that heroine Samantha is going through a lot of scripts during this lockdown time at home. Recently it has come out that senior director Singeetam approached her for a biopic on Bangalore based activist Nagaratnamma on the silver screen.

Reports are coming out that another Kannada movie has impressed Samantha a lot and she’s currently watching the film. We hear that a noted Telugu producer took Kannada film “Dia” to her, which is available on Amazon Prime Video right now. This film is a love story of an introvert girl and how her life changed after falling in love with a guy. Though its pretty slow film, it keeps audiences engaged.

Already Samantha has dome films like U-Turn, Oh Baby and Jaanu in recent times, which are remakes only. Among them, only Oh Baby worked for her due to the comedy factor while the serious thriller and verbose love story failed to click, before ending up as disasters. So, is she game for another remake now?

Some say that she might not take up the movie as a heroine, but might produce it. Anyway, we have to see if the production house gives up clarity on this.

Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab is actually targetting a May release, but going by the current situation that date is impossible to reach. Because of Covid-19 related lockdown, already shootings got halted and might resume only a couple of months later. If shootings resume, say in June, what’s the pending work related to Vakeel Saab, ala Pink remake?

According to sources, Vakeel Saab has almost 20 days work to wrap though it is all related to a single location only. They have to shoot the stunning court sequences where the four girls get questioned by the judiciary and how Pawan Kalyan jumps in as a lawyer to get the order in favour of the girl. This is the major portion of the film and they have to shoot it at a set erected in Annapurna Studios.

At the same time, as Pawan is going through the changed version of Pink (the Tamil version), he has to shoot some romantic sequences with a heroine (Shruti Haasan walked out of this) and a song should be finished at a house. So it might take almost 30 days to wrap these two pending things, such that Vakeel Saab will be ready.

Son of Karnataka’s former CM Kumaraswamy and grandson of former Prime Minister Deve Gowda, Nikhil Kumaraswamy’s wedding took place in a grand way at Gowda’s farmhouse in Ramanagara about 28 km from Bengaluru city. Nikhil Gowda has tied the knot with Revathi, the grandniece of a former minister.

Although it’s a high-profile wedding ceremony between two politically significant families, HD Kumaraswamy claimed that there were no guests other than the family members and close relatives of the groom and bride. It was a traditional wedding ceremony following all Hindi rituals. Priests have performed the wedding ceremony and family members have blessed the newly married couple.

While the families of the couple claim that they have taken strict measures in the wake of Corona Virus pandemic and all the attendees were screened properly, social media and several media reports pointed that the social distance rule has been flouted. The pictures of wedding circulated online indicate that the social distance of 4 feet was not followed. And this has become hot discussion in political and media circles.

Initially, the families have decided to organize the grand wedding in Bengaluru itself. Despite the lockdown Kumaraswamy had refused to postpone the wedding. Since Bengaluru is in Red Zone and considered as Covid-19 hotspot, finally, the familieshave changed the venue to Ramanagara, the Assembly constituency of Kumaraswamy. In a video message to his followers and party leaders on Thursday, Kumaraswamy appealed them to stay away from wedding. He promised to organize a bigger event at a later date.

It can be noted that Nikhil Gowda had made his debut with Jaguar movie which had multi-lingual release including in Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. However, the film failed to deliver at the Box Office. He eventually turned into politician. Nikhil Gowda had unsuccessfully contested for Mandya Lok Sabha where his family has stronghold politically where he was lost to independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh.

The actor-politician is all set to tie the knot with his fiancee, Revathi on April 17 in the presence of his family members.At the time when celebrities and commoners are postponing their wedding dates due to the crisis, the couple has decided to host the wedding at their Ramanagara farmhouse in Bengaluru.

Initially, both families had plans to host a grand ceremony by inviting popular personalities. However, due to the lockdown, they have restricted the guest-list and it will be an intimate affair.Reports suggest that the wedding will happen at 10 am and the celebrations have already begun. Their family is also planning to host a gala reception in Bengaluru once the lockdown ends.

Nikhil, who is the son of former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and grandson of former Prime Minister HD Devegowda, got engaged to Revathi in February at a plush hotel in Bengaluru. The couple was blessed by their families, friends and various leaders from political parties.

Revathi is said to be the niece of former minister N Krishnappa and its an arranged marriage. In one of Nikhil’s earlier interviews, he had said he is marrying the girl chosen by his parents and does not know much about her at this stage.On the professional front, Nikhil Kumar is currently working on a new project directed by S Krishna. After scoring a super success with the epic-action film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Megastar Chiranjeevi has joined hands with talented director Koratala Siva for his next project titled as Acharya. Due to coronavirus outbreak and the prevailing lockdown in the country, the shooting of the film has been temporarily put on hold and Chiranjeevi is busy overseeing the formalities of Corona Crisis Charity, a special committee formed to offer financial assistance to daily wage workers and other lower-income groups in the Telugu film industry.

Meanwhile, during a recent interaction with a leading daily, the 64-year-old actor spilled the beans regarding his characterisation in Acharya. Terming the film as a socio-political entertainer, the senior hero said “It is a socio-political entertainer that depicts a man’s fight to conserve natural resources. My role is an intense one, both physically and intellectually. Like Koratala Siva’s earlier films, Acharya too drives across a strong message without sounding too preachy.”

Confirming the presence of Ram Charan in the film, Chiranjeevi thanked SS Rajamouli for allowing the ‘Magadheera’ actor to play the extended cameo amid the hectic schedule of RRR (Roudram Ranam Rudhiram).

Starring Kajal Aggarwal as the leading lady, Acharya will feature the senior actor as a Naxalite-turned-social reformer. While Mani Sharma is roped in to compose the music, Regina Cassandra has recently sizzled for a special number opposite Chiranjeevi.
