Mrunal Thakur’s Bollywood Dreams Stumble as Son of Sardaar 2 Fails at the Box Office

Mrunal Thakur’s aspirations of making a strong mark in Bollywood have taken a hit following the box office failure of Son of Sardaar 2. Despite high expectations and a strong promotional campaign, the comedy sequel failed to resonate with both critics and audiences, ending up as a major commercial disappointment.

Headlined by Ajay Devgn and supported by a notable ensemble cast, Son of Sardaar 2 was billed as a mass entertainer. However, lukewarm reviews and poor word-of-mouth led to a sharp decline in collections within days of its release. The film’s underperformance has cast a shadow on Mrunal Thakur’s efforts to transition into mainstream Hindi cinema.

After earning critical acclaim and fan appreciation for her roles in Telugu and Tamil films, Mrunal was banking on Son of Sardaar 2 to solidify her position in Bollywood. Unfortunately, the project’s failure may temporarily stall her momentum in the Hindi film industry.

Despite the setback, Mrunal remains active and focused. She will next be seen in Dacoit, a pan-Indian action drama co-starring Adivi Sesh, which is currently in its final stages of production.

Fans and industry watchers are now looking forward to Dacoit, hopeful that it will mark a turning point in Mrunal Thakur’s evolving career.
