As the release of Sekhar Kammula’s Kuberaa inches closer, the hype around this social thriller starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna is reaching new heights. In a recent media interaction, Nagarjuna opened up about his character in the film, describing it as one of the most complex and layered roles he’s taken on in recent times.

Speaking about the role, Nagarjuna said, “Sekhar Kammula approached me with the script, and I liked it instantly. I didn’t want any changes to suit my image. Just like how changing Mayabazaar or Gundamma Katha would ruin their essence, Kuberaa is the same. My character is designed perfectly.”
Nagarjuna plays a CBI officer with multiple shades, contrasting with other characters in the film who are either clearly “black or white.” He added that director Sekhar Kammula has presented him in a completely new avatar, balancing realism with mass appeal.
“People will be thrilled to see how Sekhar has narrated a realistic social drama in an entertaining way,” he said.
