Nagarjuna To Play Akhil’s Father in Lenin? Fans Buzzing Over Akkineni Pairing
The Akkineni family is stirring excitement in Tollywood circles again—this time with the possibility of a long-awaited on-screen father-son collaboration. If the strong buzz from Filmnagar holds, Nagarjuna and Akhil Akkineni are all set to share screen space as father and son in the upcoming film Lenin.
Directed by Murali Kishore Abbur, Lenin stars Akhil in the lead role, with Sreeleela playing the female lead. The project is jointly produced by Nagarjuna and Naga Vamsi, adding more weight to the speculation that Nagarjuna will appear in a powerful key role, possibly as Akhil’s father.
Though Akhil previously appeared with his father in cameo-style roles in Manam and Akhil, Lenin could mark the first full-fledged performance together, reflecting their real-life bond on-screen.
The film’s music is being composed by Thaman, and shooting will resume soon in Tirupati, with a November 2025 release being targeted. Akhil, fresh off his recent wedding, is expected to join the team for this upcoming schedule.
