Mass director VV Vinayak had a disaster outing with his previous film ‘Intelligent’. The movie starring Sai Dharam Tej, and Lavanya Tripathi bombed at the box office. The film was trolled for its run-of-the-mill storyline, and lack of creativity. After ‘Khaidi No.150’, ‘Intelligent’ is the only film VV Vinayak has taken up.
At that time it was also heard that VV Vinayak paid back Rs 5 crores from his remuneration to the producer. Despite the payback, the movie’s producer still incurred huge losses. Cutting to the present, the producer is once again making a daring movie. Producer C Kalyan has reportedly purchased the rights of super hit Kannada film ‘Mufti’. Initially, KS Ravi Kumar, who gave a decent hit with ‘Jai Simha’ was roped as the director.
But the latest buzz is that C Kalyan managed to convince VV Vinayak for the upcoming project. Balakrishna will be seen playing the role of Gangster in the movie. In Kannada, star hero Shiva Rajkumar played the lead role. The movie is going to neo-noir (dark themed) movie.Meanwhile, Nandamuri fans are greatly disappointed with VV Vinayak being the director for Balakrishna’s next.
