NBA Certification Awarded to Nine Government Polytechnics in Andhra Pradesh:
Nine government polytechnic colleges in Andhra Pradesh have been granted certification by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) following extensive efforts by the Technical Education Department. These accredited polytechnics are located in Srikakulam, Vijayawada, Kuppam, Anakapalli, Gannavaram, Kalyandurg, Amudala Koli, Kakinada, and Guntur.
Chadalavada Nagarani, the Technical Education Commissioner, shared this accomplishment and highlighted that additional government polytechnics are actively working towards securing National Board of Accreditation certification. These efforts began in response to Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s vision of enhancing the quality of technical education in every government polytechnic.
Nagarani also mentioned that a team from the NBA is scheduled to inspect five more government polytechnics that have applied for certification. She emphasized that the Technical Education Department has been proactively working to align the polytechnics with National Board of Accreditation standards. Regular visits and reviews were conducted to ensure that the polytechnics in Srikakulam, Vijayawada, Kuppam, Anakapalli, Gannavaram, Kalyandurg, Amudala Koli, Kakinada, and Guntur met the criteria for NBA recognition.
Obtaining the National Board of Accreditation certification involves modernizing laboratories, optimizing staffing, and enhancing student facilities, among other improvements.
