New born girl child wrapped in plastic bag found in garbage at Panjagutta

A newborn baby wrapped in a plastic bag was found at garbage near NIMS hospital at Panjagutta here on Wednesday.

Hearing the baby cry, locals noticed the newborn and alerted the doctors and police. The doctors rescued the baby and are giving treatment.

Meanwhile, the police registered a case and are looking into nearby CCTV footage.

They suspected that the baby’s parents have left her on learning it was a girl child. An investigation is underway.
