New Government, Old Rules: Universities to Ditch Common Recruitment

Date:

Forget the fancy “common recruitment board” the previous government dreamed up. The new Congress bosses in Telangana are scrapping it and going back to the old way of hiring teachers and staff in state universities.

Why the switch? Simple. They promised unemployed youth 2 lakh government jobs by year-end, and the old system seems faster. Plus, there were whispers of bribes and favouritism in the new board’s plan.

Remember how universities used to hire? They’d check your papers, see how smart you are, and maybe ask you a few questions. No entrance exams, just good old-fashioned merit. But that got messy in court, with accusations of unfairness.

So, the last government cooked up this “common board” idea, with a big test for everyone and a fancy chairman. No more messy interviews, just one big exam. But the Governor wasn’t convinced, sent it to the President for approval, and it got stuck.

Now, the new government says forget all that. Let’s go back to the old way, faster and simpler. 2,825 jobs are already waiting, and they need filling!

So, for all you job seekers out there, dust off your resumes and research papers. The universities are going back to basics, and maybe, just maybe, your dream job is waiting.
