Nithiin’s Thammudu Rescheduled to July 25 Amid Clash with Kingdom
The much-anticipated commercial action-adventure drama Thammudu, starring Nithiin, will now hit theaters on July 25, 2025, instead of its earlier July 4 release. The shift comes as Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, was also slated for July 4, prompting a strategic postponement by the makers of Thammudu.
Set against a tribal backdrop and shot extensively in lush forest locales, Thammudu offers a refreshing mix of action and emotion. Nithiin headlines the film, with Sapthami Gowda (of Kantara fame) playing the female lead, and Laya portraying his sister in a pivotal role.
Breaking away from traditional promotional tactics, the makers have skipped teasers and songs to focus on a trailer-first strategy, expected within a week. A motion poster titled Mood of Thammudu has already piqued interest by introducing key characters and the film’s atmospheric tone.
For Nithiin, Thammudu arrives at a crucial point in his career. Post-pandemic, he’s been struggling to deliver a box office hit, making this film a potential comeback vehicle.
Helmed by Venu Sriram, known for hits like MCA and Vakeel Saab, the film is produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations, with music composed by Ajaneesh Loknath of Kantara fame. Stay tuned as the world of Thammudu unfolds!
