More than 8,000 people departed the Kullu-Manali region.
Officials reported that more than 8,000 individuals have left the Kullu-Manali region in the past three days following the reopening of road networks after severe rainfall affected Himachal Pradesh. However, a significant number of Israeli tourists, along with others, remained stranded in Manikaran and were unwilling to leave without their vehicles. Acting Director General of Police, Satwant Atwal, issued an appeal for them to proceed to their destinations.
From July 11 at 2 p.m. to July 14 at 6 a.m., a total of 3,665 vehicles passed through Ramshila in Kullu, and 8,306 people departed the area. Mobile connectivity in the Parvati Valley up to Sumaropa, located 4-5 km before Kasol, has been restored. The restoration of road connectivity between Kasol and Manikaran is expected by Saturday. The Deputy Commissioner of Kullu assured that everyone is safe in areas like Pulga, Tulga, Rashol, and Tosh. Grateful for the updates and information, Rashika Gupta expressed thanks to the state police and the Kullu administration, mentioning that she was finally able to contact her parents as they traveled from Bhuntar to Mandi.
