A horrible occurrence occurred inside a Pakistani school.
In Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, a tragic incident occurred inside a school where a schoolgirl lost her life, and six others, including five students and a teacher, sustained injuries due to gunfire.
According to the Pakistan police, a policeman deployed for school security in Swat district opened fire on the children as they were leaving the school premises after classes. The Divisional Police Officer of Swat, Shafi Ullah Gandapur, stated that the deceased, a nine-year-old girl, and the injured victims were immediately taken to a nearby hospital. Local media reported that two of the students were in critical condition.
The suspected shooter, the policeman, has been apprehended, and an investigation into the incident is underway. The preliminary findings suggest that the policeman may have had psychological issues, which might have led him to commit this crime.
School staff, speaking to the media, mentioned that the culprit claimed the shooting was accidental and that he did not deliberately target the children.
