Pawan Kalyan Urges Officials to Adhere to Established Norms:
Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan urged government officials to adhere to established norms, safeguard the interests of the people, and uphold the law. He emphasized the importance of not blindly following the directives of political leaders or parties.
During a Janavani-Jana Sena Bharosa event in Machilipatnam, Krishna district, Pawan Kalyan accused YSRC leaders of exploiting Andhra Pradesh’s natural resources. He criticized some IAS and revenue officials for unquestioningly following the orders of these leaders.
Pawan Kalyan acknowledged the concerns of the people and promised to address them once the Jana Sena-Telugu Desam coalition government comes to power.
He highlighted issues such as the erosion of coastal sand dunes in Machilipatnam due to alleged looting by YSRC leaders, resulting in crop damage during cyclones and high tides. Pawan Kalyan called on officials to protect these sand dunes and assist farmers in preventing crop losses.
Pawan Kalyan also criticized the state government for reducing the workdays of electricity bill readers without providing alternative employment, causing concerns for around 1.95 crore electric meter readers. He demanded that alternative employment opportunities be offered and criticized the government for involving an agency at a high cost of Rs 7,000 crore.
He further condemned the YSRC government for diverting Rs 8,660 crore of funds meant for gram panchayats, which were intended for developmental projects. He questioned the authority of the state government to make such decisions.
Pawan Kalyan expressed disappointment in the state government’s failure to provide matching grants for the Centre’s allocated Rs 7,500 crore under the Jala Jeevan Mission, hindering efforts to provide tap connections to thousands of people. He also voiced concerns about the lack of burial grounds for the Muslim community.
Additionally, during the Janavani program, approximately 200 representations were submitted, addressing various issues, including the absence of training for certain individuals.
