Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited film, O, G, is gearing up for a grand worldwide release on the 25th of this month, and fans are buzzing with excitement to experience it on the big screen. Even during the promotions of Hari Hara Veera Mallu, updates about OG drew more curiosity than any other film. However, there’s some disappointing news for fans in the USA.
The film’s overseas distributors, Prathyangira Cinemas, officially announced on X that OG will not release in premium formats such as IMAX, D-Box, 4DX, or Dolby. This decision stems from their prior commitments to Hollywood titles. Instead, the film will be screened in PLF and standard formats across the USA.
Given the high-quality posters, lyrical videos, and teasers released so far, fans were eagerly hoping for an IMAX release to enhance the cinematic experience. Naturally, this update has left many disappointed.
Still, a Pawan Kalyan release itself is nothing short of a festival for fans. With a massive positive buzz surrounding the film already, expectations are sky-high. Directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Danayya, OG is all set to create a storm at the box office—formats aside—as long as it secures wide screenings across theaters.
