Peddi is fast shaping up to be one of the most awaited Tollywood releases of 2026. Headlined by Ram Charan and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film is gearing up for a massive theatrical release on June 4, 2026. With promotions in full swing, the pan-Indian project has been creating steady buzz across media platforms.
In a recent interaction, ace cinematographer Rathnavelu revealed that his favorite portion of the film is the Delhi sequence. What makes it special is that the entire segment was shot without any artificial lighting. Adding to its uniqueness, the scenes were captured on film negatives, marking Rathnavelu’s return to the medium after nearly 17 years. He explained that this creative choice was made to achieve a raw, grounded, and realistic visual texture, even in an era dominated by advanced digital technology.
Interestingly, Ram Charan has also mentioned that the Delhi episode is his favorite part of the film, which has further fueled curiosity and expectations around the sequence.
The rural sports drama features an impressive ensemble cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. Produced by Vriddhi Cinemas, the film’s music is composed by the legendary A. R. Rahman, adding yet another layer of excitement to this ambitious project.
