Please investigate my son on corruption charges says former Finance Minister
Yashwant Sinha who is known to make controversial remarks and comments on his own party BJP has once again stirred a fresh controversy. The former Finance Minister requested the government authorities to probe into his Cabinet Minister Jayanth Sinha involvement after the latter name has surfaced in Paradise Papers. Jayanth Sinha is the son of Yashwant Sinha.
Yashwanth Sinha also asked the government to pursue the case of Jay Shah, son of BJP President Amit Shah. Yashwanth Sinha referred an article published in the website The Wire which claimed that the revenue of Jay Shah’s Temple Enterprises, a stock trading company, whose profits rose by 16,000 times. From Rs. 50,000 Jay Shah’s company revenue grew to Rs. 80, 00, 00,000 within a year.
The Wire reported that Jay Shah did not answer to the questionnaire sent by them. Instead, Jay Shah’s lawyer filed a defamation case of Rs.100 Crore on the website.
Names of 754 politicians, industrialists, CEOs and other noted personalities were mentioned among those who have stockpiled their black money in off-shore accounts.
