Prime Minister Narendra Modi today stated in parliament a committee to manage the development of a Ram Temple in Ayodhya, as directed by the Supreme Court.
PM Modi said in the Lok Sabha that his government was determined to arrange a trust called Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Skshetra, which will take choices autonomously on the development of a Ram temple and associated issues.
he said to extend all the support for the construction of grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya, to roars of “Jai Shri Ram” arising from the government seats.
The Prime Minister stated the choice had been exerted in order with the Supreme Court’s important order in November giving the discussed land in Ayodhya to Ram Lalla and allowing alternative five acres of land for a mosque to the Sunni Waqf Board.
PM Modi said the Uttar Pradesh government had granted to return the land in Ayodhya to the Waqf Board.
The Supreme Court had given the government a three-month timeline to set up a trust for a temple at the site where the 16th-century Babri mosque stood before it was razed by Hindu activists in 1992.
Two days before the Delhi election, questions have been raised about whether the announcement was a violation of the model code of conduct.
