On Wednesday, the Kadapa two town police seized mobile phones used for betting along with Rs. 10,15,000 after apprehending seven members of a cricket betting Racket.
After receiving a tip, the team led by sub inspectors Jayaramulu and Sanjeeva Rayudu detained seven individuals who were running bookmakers and organizing cricket betting in Kadapa town, according to town inspector Tabrej of Kadapa 2.
The bookmakers, who were running the betting, were identified as coming from the Kurnool and Kadapa districts. The inspector stated that around Rs. 10,15000 in cash was taken from the organization.
