Yes, what you read is absolutely true. West Indian batsman, Kieron Pollard becomes the first man to play 401 T20 matches. Pollard 401 became the trending hashtags on Twitter after the batsman played his 401st T20 match. There is no other player in the history of the game to play these many T20 matches. Dwayne Bravo (372) and Chris Gayle (323) are behind him.

In 401 T20 matches, Pollard played 361 innings and amassed 7,853 runs. This includes 39 50’s. As a bowler, Pollard picked 245 wickets (in 274 innings). Kieron Pollard plays for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League.

Similarly, the power-hitting batsman plays for various franchises like Barbados and Trinidad Tobago, Cape Cobras, Dhaka Dynamites (Dhaka Gladiators), Karachi Kings, Somerset, and South Australia. He literally plays in every premier T20 league globally.

Currently, Kieron Pollard is only eligible to play the T20 format representing West Indian cricket team. The cricketer decided not to play West Indies domestic ODI and First-class matches, making ineligible for selection in those formats at the national level.

Mumbai Indians fans are eagerly waiting for IPL auction on Saturday and Sunday, to see whether Pollard will be retained in Mumbai Indians franchise or not.
