Prabhas, the pan-India superstar, is gearing up for his next theatrical release — The Raja Saab, a horror comedy directed by Maruthi. Ever since the teaser dropped, expectations have soared, with fans excited to see Prabhas in a lighter, massy avatar.
In a recent interview, producer TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory shared key updates on the film’s progress. He revealed that the team has already shot over four-and-a-half hours of raw footage, which will be edited down to a suitable runtime at the director’s discretion.
He also stated that the shooting is expected to be completed by the end of October 2024. While there’s no official confirmation yet, the makers are planning to release the film on January 9, 2025, just in time for the Sankranthi festival season, a prime slot in Telugu cinema.
The Raja Saab features a strong supporting cast, including Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, and Sanjay Dutt in crucial roles. The music is composed by Thaman, and the film is being produced on a grand scale under the People Media Factory banner.
With a promising genre blend of horror and comedy, a star-studded cast, and the Sankranthi buzz, The Raja Saab is shaping up to be one of 2025’s most awaited Telugu releases.
