Pradeep Ranganathan Clears Air on Diwali Release Clash Between Love Insurance Company and Dude
Pradeep Ranganathan, who rose to stardom with blockbusters like Love Today and Dragon, is now gearing up for his next big outings. The young actor has two films lined up — Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) and Dude.
Initially, both movies were announced as Diwali releases, sparking buzz about a rare “self-clash” at the box office. However, Pradeep recently ended the speculation with a clear update. Speaking at a media event, he confirmed:
“Either Dude or LIK will release for Diwali, not both. But audiences can definitely catch me on the big screen this festive season.”
Earlier, LIK was set for a September release, while Dude had locked Diwali. Later, the makers of LIK rescheduled the release to October 17, which created an overlap with Dude. To avoid confusion, the actor clarified that only one film will take the Diwali slot.
Directed by Vignesh Shivan, Love Insurance Company stars Krithi Shetty opposite Pradeep. On the other hand, Dude, helmed by Keerthiswaran, features Mamitha Baiju as the female lead.
With Diwali being one of the biggest festive seasons for Tamil cinema, fans are eagerly waiting to see which of these two Pradeep-starrers will finally light up theatres.
