The President of the BJP in the state, Daggubati Purandeswari, met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Sunday and requested a CBI investigation into the liquor sales in Andhra Pradesh over the past four years.
During her meeting with Shah, She discussed various aspects of Andhra Pradesh affairs, with a particular focus on the liquor policy that has been in effect for the past four years. She presented a memorandum on this matter to the Home Minister.
In a recent statement to the media, she disclosed that upon examining the sales of a liquor store in Narsapur, West Godavari district, it was discovered that out of a total sales of Rs 1 lakh, only Rs 700 was made via digital payments.
