India A’s mighty riposte with the bat extended on the final day as Ajinkya Rahane commenced the innings with an unbeaten 101.
The game that ended in a draw saw all of India A’s top five crossing the 50-run mark. While Shubman Gill, Hanuma Vihari and Cheteshwar Pujara went past the milestone on the third day, it was the turn of Vijay Shankar to join the party on the final day.
While Cheteswar Pujara and Shubman Gill could not continue much to their overnight numbers, India A’s dominance extended with a 120-run stand between Rahane and Shankar.
The Rahane got to his hundred in the final session before both teams shook hands to call it a day.
